I know most women usually start seeing a gynaecologist once they confirm their pregnancy and the frequency of the antenatal checkups increase as the pregnancy term matures.
Some gynaecologists offer a package for all checkups from around Week 12/13 onwards. Can anyone tell me which are the mandatory checkups and which are optional and when these should be done? The advice from various sources seem to differ somewhat.
Finally, do these 'packages' really result in cost savings and is it true that the better gynaecologists do not offer them?
