Hi. I'm new here. And am a first time mummy to be. EDD on 9th April 2014! Feeling excited and anxious!
 
Aww... congrats Mummy L and normas! I have been watching this space cos I am hoping that I cld join the April 2014 thread. Finally this thread was started! I won't know till at least a week later... sigh... crossing my fingers that I can have an April bb!
 
Btw, Mummy L, since your EDD is 3 April, maybe you should mingle in the Mar 2014 thread too in case your little one decides to come early... just a suggestion! :)
 
I'm waiting for my first visit to my gynae on the 27july during my 8th week. Was thinking if I should start taking prenatal vitamins or folic acid. Should I?
 
I just learnt that folic acid should be taken even before pregnancy, preferably at least 1 month before conception, so you might want to start with folic acid straight away. Most mummies seem to get their folic acid supplements from NTUC Unity, and I already asked my hub to buy them for me (still TTC). As for prenatal vitamins, I think there's no harm taking them as well, unless you want to wait for your gynae's recommendation.
 
Hello ladies, tested BFP last Friday. 2nd time mummy. Looking forward to my first scan on 20 Aug.
 
Hi all, i am also expecting my #2...edd should be early apr. Will be seeing gynae on 19th =)
 
I'm seeing my gynae on 23 August. Anyone seeing WK Tan? The nurse told me to take folic acid at the minimum to prevent neural tube defects. Can also take supplements if you feel ok ie no morning sickness. My morning sickness started already, am hoping that I won't get it this time round.
 
Hello MTBs. Just tested positive (last night & this morning). I should be around 5 weeks pregnant and it seems like my EDD is 2nd April. :)

Btw, I am a first time mum. So happy yet anxious. Gulp. Anw, my tricky case is, I don't work in Singapore. But I do intend to give birth back in Singapore and long ago decided on Mt. A. May I know if any ladies have any recommendations on which gynae?

I am gg back Singapore tomorrow night and hope to get an appt on Saturday. Ain't so easy!

Oh well... congrats to all MTBs here! :)

Hi all, I am also tested positive yesterday. Expecting the 2nd one. Forgot to check with my gynae on my EDD yesterday (maybe too excited) but should be early April.

I just started on blackmores pregnancy supplement, it contains 250ug of folic acid. is it enough? Hope I'm not too late to start at 5weeks. First time mummy, no experience. (*>.<*)

Hi Normas,

It is never too late. I didnt took any folic acid for my #1 till I was about 8 weeks preg and she is adorable and healthy. :)

Ive been lurking ard the march forum asmy edd is 4 April 14 and I delivered early at 34 weeks with #1.
I live in hk. Have not decided whether to deliver in hk or in sg. Had a scan last week at 5 weeks but it was too early to see much. Dr is on holiday these 2 weeks so I can only scan again for heartbeat on 19 Aug. Crossing my fingers. Dr says it should be good as long as morning sickness stays strong. Its been very strong! No ms at all with #1!

It seems like you all had much earlier Appointments than mine. Congrats and good luck to all the MTBs !!

I remembered being over cloud 9 with my first pregnancy..... and yes, many have successfully gave birth after 1st attempt.

I dunno.. Maybe because I haven't see gynae to confirm the bb is healthy and I don't have any pregnancy symptoms other than missing my period for 2 days..

Oh, actually I just realized i should be 4-5 weeks pregnant and not 3 weeks cos initially I told count from ovulation date, it should be LMP which I already miss my period for few days so already crossed 4 weeks.
When are you visiting your gynae?

Hi all,i am one of the April 2014 mums! I am jz tested positive last week n nw is in the process of choosing a gynea.

Shortlisted: Dr Tan Thiam Chye from KKH and Dr Adelina Wong from Thomson. Any review on both of them?
 
Dear all, I jus tested BFP today. So happy n yet uncertain until I go for appt check for hb. Anyone can suggest when can I go for the appt? Is wk 6 ok to go? Cuz wk7 im goin overseas.
 
I tested positive on National Day, something that i have been looking forward to but now that it is positive, i am feeling rather uncertain and stress.

Have made appointment to see my gynae tomorrow. Hope all is fine :)
 
Hello all, I tested positive on National Day too. This is my second child, am feeling kind of excited and yet sad as the same time as my baby will no longer be our only one soon.
Dear MusicGuitar, Dr Tan TC is a good doctor as heard from my friends who work at KKH.

Hi all,

I'm a first time mom, and I just had BFP yesterday and this morning. I'm just over 4 weeks now, so EDD should be ~20 April 2014.
A bit nervous as I had a m/c 2 years ago. Keeping fingers crossed that this pregnancy will be smooth. :rolleyes:
 
Hi all.. Congrats to all mummies in April! We are growing in numbers, so excited! I just decided on my gynae, Dr Chua yang and was scheduled for 1st appt at 6 weeks+ or else u/s cannot see anything.. Hence I'm seeing her on 27/8, 2 weeks later.. Can't wait to see my bb!
 
hi all, i tested positive using clearblue digital 3+weeks. so should be 5+ weeks now. this is my 3rd preg. i have 2 boys, keeping my fingers crossed, i hope this will be a girl.
any good recommendation for doctors at NUH?

Hi! Congrats! My baby's EDD is 2nd Apr. Anw, i am based in Ho Chi Minh City, but I am confirmed flying back to deliver. I have also confirmed my gynae - Dr Douglas Ong and will deliver in Mt Alvernia. I think there is some kind of magic giving birth in Singapore and have your loved ones and friends visit you and shower you and baby with lotsa love and blessings. But of course, it is up to individual! :)

Hi all, tested positive on 5 August. Went to polyclinic to do urine test and referral on 6 August. Cfm pregancy, this is my #2. Having mix feeling too. Feel that I had neglected my #1 as he is only 8 months old. Will be seeing doctor and deliver at KKH.

BTW I am gathering mummies friends for the group for a whatsapp chat as I seldom check on threats. Kindly e-mail me at [email protected] if any mummies are interested.

As I am a working mum, will reply when I am able to. Thanks
 
Finally booked my first appt with Dr kt Tan at KKH next week. Im also having mixed feelings... cuz my #1 is 11 mths old now only. N she haven sleep through the nite yet... I cant imagine having 2 babies who will demand our time throughout the night... scary thought... :( can only hope that she will be able to sleep through by the time #2 comes along..

so is there a fb group set up already for apr 2014 mummies?

started to have dizzy spells last night and this morning.. shld i be worried? this pregnancy seems very different from my last one. feels weaker already.
