pauline &amp; mstan: my son is at ifc now, he will be automatically be 'promoted' to pg in july.. but i think the pg teacher is not very good, so wanna change. the prob is most of the 'good' schools' full day PG are filled; so i have to opt for N1. i am choosing from pat sch house, mindchamps and lorna whiston (depending on where the new home is)

The flshcards that you can buy from Shichida are quite limited and expensive. In order to keep your child interested with the flashcards , I think u have to do some for them so that they will not get bored after sometimes!
But a lot of works , I used to stay to do flashcards for my son until late night. :0(

Heee....for a start u can juz hv a few different sets of bento sets to choose (choice of chicken, pork, fish) ? Can state what kinds of ingredients inside ?

May (pishako): I enrolled my daughter in a church pre-nursery. Only 3 hours in the morning since I will be staying at home by then. We intend to buy first then sell. An agent said that after buying, we have 6 mths grace period to sell, I hope that is true. Abit scary if sold already and no place to live in if cannot find suitable new place. Nowadays COV is so high, quite hard to find a reasonably-priced one.

u will need to get a bridging loan from a bank to clear your current house loan first, then can get 80% financing for your new house.

Mummies, do u give your bb snacks like cakes already? I gave my boy some and he loves it!! Those no cream type. Is ok for them right?? I tried Mee suah also he seems to like too. Think they like new texture! He wan to grab my drumstick the other day!

Argh! My daughter is teething and hasn't been eating her dinner nor drinking her milk at home. But at nanny's place, she complied. I wonder is it because she is not scared of me, nexf time i stay at home, jialat!

u dun need bridging loan since u sold your place first before buying your new place.

after u buy your new place, u can get bridging loan to settle the loan for your old place and get 80% fiancing for your new place. if not, u wun be able to get 80% financing for your new place.
this is what i understand. u better check with your banker.

yunzz, cos based on what most agents tell me, now need to sell n produce the new buyer's stamp duty document, then we are officially discharged of the 1st property responsibility..

fitti, why selling private for hdb? for pri sch?

Correct. By the time, u buy and exercise the option, your buyer would have already paid the stamp duty.
 
Yunzz, ohh... that is assuming can find a buyer fast too. Either way is stress abt finding a house or buyer first.

advice needed
my boy vomits occassionally for no apparent reason. this morning, he vomitted alot shortly after drinking milk. He's not sick or anything.
is this normal. any mummies experience the same thing?

Anyone knows where to buy squeeky shoes? you know when babies walk, got sound come out? haha. I find it quite cute recently n wana let my Sophie wear....initally find it quite irritating.
 
Alicia, I saw some of those shoes at those neighbourhood shops, tink was at toa payoh central. Not as nice as lil blue lamb kind tho

i hv converted my #1 cot bed to junior bed when he turns 15mths. #2, i doubts i can do it now...haha! coz 2 of them sure take v.long to turn in. whenever #2 has chance, he will climb up to #1 single size bed n refuses to come down.

OOh i am looking for bed for my 3 year old now haha. A bit old hor? haha. She is now sleeping in a toddler bed which is actually the same size as the cot mattress. However, i feel single bed is too big. Is there an in-between? Is junior bed bigger than a toddler bed and smalled than a single bed? Where can I can find them?
 
Yunzz, augleo, my no. 2 is also starting to climb out of her cot. I need to change her to no. 1's toddler bed. But that means I got to put no. 1 on her own in a queen size sofa bed. :p
 
Calamari, I got my bed at Imm. Trade hub novena does have some selection of toddler bed too.. U can check these places out.

May: My current place is really cozy and exclusive but not enough rooms. Initially thought if #2 was a boy too then no issues but turned out to be a girl (no complains from me tho'! =P)

May: You sold off your place and is looking for another? Timing how? As in if in between need a temporary place to stay how? This is my dilemma now, buy or sell to cash out first? Worst come to worse, I build another bedroom in the dining area! Desperate measures. =p

fitti, yes.. i sold off first. i asked for extension and backup plan is to stay w my parents. they have extra room

duno leh.. i think it is harder to sell than to buy. plus, there's the stamp duty issue.
 

May: We don't have anywhere to stay if we sell first. DH says maybe rent chalets. Haha. Then I said ok, but cannot be Changi chalets coz got ghosts.
