My boy kena cold and cough yesterday. Whole night keep waking up and cry, so poor thing cos nose either running or blocked. Clinics closed today. Mummies know of any good off the shelve medication from pharmacy dat I can get, or any other useful remedy. Can he still eat fish porridge? Thanks!

GG,
go buy Karvol and drop it on his bed or a hanky and put near bed, this is for block nose. Running use otrivin, drop into nose, 1-2 drops, it will dry mucus. Rub baby vicks on back or chest and feet.

Morning - use salt water nasal spray (from pharmacy), spray into nostril, rub rub nose, and try to suck out mucus, this will prevent mucus from getting into the lungs too much.
 
Ivy : Where did u buy Karvol?? Normally if my gal flu i buy the idillan (something like this). Is a nose drop for nose block also.

Wow...these few days really quiet leh...
Anybody start feeding rice n how to give, got add anything? I mix with soup la... Thinking of juz feed rice n some minced food but then got a feeling my boy will spit out leh...

Ideas mummies??
 
I haven't started really giving rice, only pinch a bit from my bowl here and there cos he will wan to eat our good. These days he grab a pair of chopsticks and try to pick up food from dishes on the table. And will put into his mouth, only gravy he also shiok. Some of my frens give rice w soup or gravy already. Depends on whether bb is ready. My mum says last time bb 12 mths eat rice already. For me will probably take it slowly

Genesis: I started Ashton on rice w soup quite a while back... I usually steam the rice so it's softer than usual. Then give w fish or meat.. The usual food...
But he's a bit sian eating all these.. Keep wanting to snack on whatever we are eating.. So I jus give him every now n then .. So long he's eating..
Cos after 1 yr old le, I more relax, dun Wana stress too much on eating organic food or super healthy meal..

Btw, juz asking if any mummy who will be holding their bb 1st mth soon willing to 'help' another couple (late 30's) who wat to hv bb.
They are advised by a 'Master' to hold a bb ard 1st mth for at least 15mins to "improve" their chance of having a bb.
If u r having yr bb 1st mth shower soon, dunno do u mind "inviting" this couple too &amp; let them hold yr bb for 15mins ? They will of course give an Ang Bao too.
I can pass u the contact to contact if possible.

Mummies, can share what brand vitamins/DHA u are giving to your 1 year old?

I saw this brand Nordic Naturals DHA for babies. Any mummies tried before? I think someone mentioned this brand ChildLife also? Can I know which product from this brand u have tried and is good?

Mtdt, I saw it but dun know which one to go to. Cos phuket one has bb club med but i already going to phuket in march. Bintan seems too near n i am not interested in golf. Have u decided?

MTDT - I saw the clubmed promotion...very tempted...do you know if kids are free?

I called to enquiry this 2nd adult free (including airtix)..

1st adult - 1777
2nd adult - 665 (airtix)
Infant - 190 (airtix)

total is abt $2,600....hmm thinking whether to go clubmed or japan...haiz....
 
Manu, I have never gone for club med before, my Phuket trip in march is for Marriott vacation club discounted stay after attending their sales talk. I also think club med is a bit exp, also thinking of going japan but air tic very exp in June plus it's rainy season. Which club med did u enquire about?

my EDD is 24-feb.. still holding on, coz a lot of things yet to settle... work stuff, home stuff..

maunited>I just came back from club med phuket. quite ok lah. If you want to save $, best to book airfare yourself. My trip was less than $2500 in total and my offer was not as good as the current offer of 1 adult free. I got silkair tix during promo and it was 200+ per adult and 80+ for my boy. For airport transfer, I can pass you the contact for my driver. Only 1200 thai baht for 2 way transfer between airport and hotel. That's much cheaper than club med's transfer which is 1000 thai baht one way.

BTW, if you intend to put your baby in baby club med, must remember to bring your health booklet. I didn't bring it so couldn't place my boy there.

LSnTYL, is Club Med Phuket good? Worth going? Is there lots of activities avail?
 


bb_shae>club med phuket is ok. actually got lots of activities like water aerobics, reverse bungy, some circus trapeze, spa, archery, etc. But we only sneaked to the spa for 15mins each time and bought my boy to the beach and the swimming pool cos he loved them. Didn't take part in the other activies as we couldn't place him in BB club med as we didn't have his vaccination record. Food was okok lah. There's lots of baby food jars and some steamed food that you can feed bb with
