arisz, maybe your bb is just petit.. but now you're only 34/35wk, got time to grow.. cuz initially mine is still ok. about 2oog per week. only this week shot up 500g..

sandy, now those market fruit stalls got sell durians mah.. you there see see? i this week eat quite abit of carbo plus some soft drinks and bb shot up 500g. :x

seems alot of mummy is preparing a big bag. i see my hospital bag like quite small leh. hahaha..

i still dunno wanna take epidural or not. i hope i can tahan but today during the CTG scan, my gynae point the graph and says, 'this is contractions. got feel pain or not?' i say, abit pain. then he exclaimed,'pain?? this is painless contractions leh.' hur hur.. maybe my threshold level is low..

sandy, my amniotic fluid went up to normal level so no need to push forward le. So doc said can tahan tll fri.

Siri, me too. I love bitter durians oni. Bery difficult to buy hor. Always the sweet or creamy type.
 
sandy, i meant those market.. cuz i see my house opp the market place got sell durians.. i thought maybe your market place also got sell? i think lot 1 and bukit panjang plaza NTUC also got sell durians.. but now not durian season.. variety might be limited..
 
Ya.. think now not the season.. so difficult to buy gd ones..

I oso prefer the bitter ones..:)

Hello gals..

Been MIAing cos baby has popped last week on 18 Nov.. =p

Have not been keeping track of the thread so not sure who else have delivered.

A brief summary of my birthing story:
17 Nov - saw brownish discharge
18 Nov, 2.30am - light menstrual cramp, went toilet and I saw a gush of blood flooding the toilet bowl.
2.30-4am+ - getting ready to go to TMC, only light cramping and contractions, backaches experienced.
4.30am - admitted to TMC, was waiting at the observation area.
6am - moved into the birthing room, still feeling ok cos no heavy cramps or contractions. Only 1 cm dilated.
6-9am - had light breakfast. Still feeling ok, no heavy cramps/contractions.
9am - Gynae came in to check, only 1.5cm dilated!! Faint. Gynae break waterbag.. predicted I will deliver at 4pm.
9-10am - Regular contractions start coming in
10-11am - Very painful cramp and very regular contractions. Cannot stand the pain and given that I am only around 3cm dilated, hubby called for epidural for me,.
11am - Epidural taken.
11am - 2pm+ - Was able to rest and sleep through the contractions and conserve energy for pushing.
2pm+ - Gynae and midwives came and pushing started..
3pm+ - Baby arrived! Baby is small, 2.53kg @ week 36.

It's only day 5 of my confinement and I already can't stand the non-bathing part.. haiz..

Quite busy with latching and expressing milk man..

Gals, hope you all have prepared your stuff.. you never know when baby decides to pop early, like mine.

hi jeanie, how come when u do the CTG scan baby zzz cannot detect anything? i thot the heartbeat should be constantly there? u still need to wake the baby up to feel it ah?

is this your first baby? why you dun wan epidural?

ladies, is it neccesary to buy nursing bra? i have some tube tops which i intend to use as nursing bra if need be.. dont wish to waste money on nursing bra though.. any good &amp; cheap ones to recommend?

i meeting cordlife tml, thinkng of using babybonus to pay, very expensive

whr to buy the herbs for bathing? what is the name?

hi vivi, cuz from the graph, bb got heartbeat but not active. so nurse say bb must be sleeping. so ask gynae come. cuz my gynae says its impt for bb to be active. so try to wake him up. so he uses a device to scan ard my tummy to wake bb up. then after a while can see the graph got more movements. so cute.

yes. this is my first baby. erm.. cuz i hope i can have a feel of full labour. but it seems.. i might give up half way. wahahhaha
 
ulicia - tink tube tops not enuf le.. cuz will be engorged etc.. and will be damn heavy.. will be useful esp if u wanna bf when u go back to work..
 
Hi MTB, I think mac does help bb to put on weight. When I was at wk32 bb only weight less than 1.8kg.. Small bb but after eating mac for a week. Now at wk 34 bb weight 2.5kg.

By the way, though my baby small, I still got tear leh.. if you gals thinking of taking epidural, you dun have to worry about baby's size, can't feel pain one. But epidural got side effects like numbness, shivering for me.

Also, dun stock up too many NB size diapers. Think stock up 1 pack on top of what hospital provide will do liao. Cos my baby so small can also wear S size for some brands liao.

I think initially most of us will have problems with latching, for me I had bleeding nipples cos baby did not suck properly. Somemore my baby very sleepy, probably becos he came out early. So got to BF him for quite long. Good to have a breastpump, so pls have 1.. esp when the engorgement comes in. If not, have to do frequent massaging and do manual expressing using your hands.

Siri, I intend to bath but becos baby came out early, I didn’t buy the bathing herbs in time.. so will buy tmr when I bring baby for PD check-up.

So sad.. dec baby become nov baby liao.. ha...

Anyway you gals, must try to get ample rest now cos when baby pops, you can't rest well esp if you are breastfeeding..

haha I also eat ALOT of mac that's y my bb so big now...kinda regretted. In 3 wks, I put on 4kg!! and baby from 2kg grew to 2.89kg in 3 wks. U all can try, those who wan bb to put on weight.

Sandy &amp; Siri, we called tmc receptionist le. They said no extra charges leh. I checked with my clinic too. They said i wasn't the one who made the request to have c-sect on PH so no extra charges leh. Hope they keep to their promise coz i wanted Thursday initially n i din know it was PH till i went home to tell my hubby. kekeke. me blur like sotong
 
ginnie, why sad to have a nov baby? dun be sad, nov or dec also nvm.... ya, get those herbs for bathing and remember to bathe in the afternoon so u will not feel cold.

diapers - i did not buy any NB, only bought 2 pkts of S size huggies. for my #1 i also never buy NB size cos he is big enough to wear S size.

hi ulicia, the herbs are called da feng ai. think u go to the shop and ask them for bathing herbs during confinement they should know ba.

i also bought 2 packets of NB size. hope dun waste.

miumiu - ya.. i brought. Initially no milk and colustrum quite pathetic but i pump to stimulate supply and relieve engorgement.
