    Pls do not trust forum recommendations wholeheartedly - there are some people preying on vulnerable mummies and "advertising" their services or confinement nannies by pretending to be also pregnant mums or had a "great" experience.

    Yes need to be careful! Recommendations on forum should be checked thoroughly - especially if the person making the recommendations only posts similar "advertisements"

    Take the time to find a childcare centre you are comfortable with - the environment and the teachers . A good centre is very beneficial to your child's development. Learn to let go - children are extremely adaptable and the problem is almost always parents who fear their children can't adapt.

    Decide on the hospital then look at which doctors deliver at the hospital of your choice. That being said, if in the worst case there are complications with the delivery, I think your baby can still be at subsidized rates if you register the birth as Singaporean ... u may want to find out...

    Just go private since u don't enjoy subsidies there is no point going government hospital. Private gynae cost maybe $120-$200 per visit. Hospital and doctor fees are also same, no difference for foreigner and local in private hospital. Suggest you look at Mt Alvernia or Parkway East - the more...

    Teething - What can you do?

    Can't do much except help the child get relief from any discomfort like fever, gum itchiness. There can be changes in poop for a few days. Nothing to worry about as long as baby not dehydrated.
