Kittiepp, is it the Medela Mini Electric PLUS? The dual one? Heard not so great feedback on it though... The suction tt's very strong is the Medela PIS (higher end range compared to Mini E plus). What's your budget? Cos now you can get Medela PIS for reasonably cheap prices if you join...

KittiePP, I used Ameda before. It's quite hard to clean compared to Avent cos the funnel is rather small. You need to use the teat cleaning brush (need to buy a long flexible one) to be able to clean properly.

Jinnous, so it's your parents who are financing the place but their names not in the property??? BAD MOVE. Serious. Talk to your dad about it. Cos if your SIL can say such nonsense to you, I won't be surprised if one day she kicks the old folks out & claims that the house is HERS. I...

Jinnous, hv you sounded out your mum if she's willing to help you to TC of bb? Depending on your family dynamics, you hv to talk to your parents properly, with your brother present. I know of many grandmas who go over to stay with their grandkids on weekdays, then weekends they are free to...

Gilera, that's the cash upfront you need to pay lor. If you want to pay the loan installments, add $100 to the agent fee. Quite standard cos the insurance itself is almost $300 already. Then the medical tests & English tests also $$$. For monthly, it's the salary (range from $370 -...

Oh ya, the new one I've chosen is ex-Saudi. Worked for 1 family for 4yrs looking after 3 children. She looked after the oldest one (4yo) from newborn until he was 4yo. Saudi not an easy country to work in as a maid. She can survive 4yrs there means she's good. & she has experience with...

Gilera, how much to fork out depends on which nationality you choose. If you are staying near HG, I recommend you go Hougang Green & look for Edlyn [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] So far they hv been good & reliable. Paperwork they settle...

RE: CDA Account Eh, there's a top up limit, so basically it's only 'free 6k'. Plus if you use it for doctor's visits, vaccinations, etc, the 6k will probably last less than 1-2yr. I calculated, based on the preschool I want, the CDA will be just nice.

Pofy, cos first month of life is most fragile & when most of the major problems will surface. Plus if you buy for newborn, only pay 1 premium then *TOUCHWOOD* need to claim, then insurance company go bankrupt already. They weigh the 'risks' before offering policies one...
