    WTA: Milk powder

My kids are taking Karihome for the post-toddlers. I think if they don't have an issue with cow's milk, they can just take pasteurized fresh milk from the carton.

    Sahm Allowance !

Heartening to read the accounts from various filial daughters here. When I became a sahm, i could only afford to pay for expenses when I brought my mom out, and not a lump sum allowance anymore. We could no longer pay for air tickets, expensive gifts, but we will make every attempt to pay for...

    Getting back to career path..

Mummychoy, mums@work got back, actually, their listing is the same as careermums. You're right, i do think these positions aren't exclusively meant for mothers, it's basically open for anyone who is looking for part time work arrangements. However, mums@work only has the category or enabling...

    Getting back to career path..

Seriously, i'm looking at entry roles now too. I can't help but realise that, for the entry roles, comparing to the fresh grads, our category is really unattractive. Argh. It's quite depressing to realise that regardless of whatever degrees or experience we boast in our CV, it still seems so futile.

    Getting back to career path..

thought that i would just update.. there's been no info from mums@work after i applied.. :( It's been a week. I was from MNCs. But it's been a good half a decade away and I think it's hard to even try to pull strings to get back since some of the folks are not even there anymore.. :(

    Trapped between husband and mother

Seek a marriage counselor's help, both of you should get talking about everything that's kept within. Dangerous to think that things have changed. I am sure many long-wed couples will tell you that days are never the same, or always lovey-dovey. Priorities shift as family grow. ..

    Getting back to career path..

Engineering mostly.. how about you? how long were you away? honestly, i am not sure if it's cos of the industry i'm trying to get back it, or it's because most employers would rather not have a mom who's been presumably out of touch for a while.

    Trapped between husband and mother

i agree with some members here too, that there is probably a deeper concern than merely imperfect english. For goodness sake, with the time spent by kids at various settings; schools, tuition centres, playdates, etc, can your husband control and ensure a perfectly sanitized environment with only...

    Chinese tution - any recommendations

why don't you try Berries? They started hanyu pinyin since K2, so i'm not sure if it's too late to begin only in P1. But i think their hanyu pinyin module is well structured and conducted.

You may like to first seek out the Family Service Centre's help if you are unsure what next to do. Most estates should have a Family Service Centre or similar counselling centres.
