Hi brainy smurf, it's a common side effect of pregnancy. I managed to resolve the issue by eating brown rice (contains more fibre than white rice), lotsa vegetables (try buying organic ones to minimise exposure to pesticide) and sugar-free greek yogurt (the brand is farmers' union if I'm not...

Hi noah1, do you have to prick your finger everyday and report the sugar level? I'm due for the glucose test in 2 weeks' time. Just wondering, how will the doctor know that the daily blood reading is yours? I mean technically if I'm scared of pricking myself everyday, I could prick other people...

    Prenatal depression

Hi pinkgal, sorry to hear of your unsupportive workplace. My two cents' worth: try to shut your feelings and keep your eye on the prize - PAID MATERNITY LEAVE. You only need to tahan 4 more months before you give birth! You can look for another job when you are on maternity leave. Remember you...

My hubby's sister is autistic. I am constantly worried for my bb *touch wood*. How do I get rid of negative thoughts? Now when I see anything about autism on facebook, or anywhere, I'd panic and interpret that as a sign. Today some colleagues discussed about autism, I also panicked :(

Hi brainy smurf, yes, the 12th week detailed scan was for down syndrome. Panorama test was also for down syndrome which I also did on the same day. Maybe your wife is still young? I'm already 35. Gynae usually have 2 test choices for down syndrome. Oscar is cheaper but only 95% accurate...

Mine also similar to what you found online, 8, 12, 16, 20 and all have ultrasounds.. In fact 12th week have one detailed scan (about $700) to check for nasal bone and nucheal thickness, although I found it was a waste of money since panorama test can detect genetic abnormalities.
