Blood test today after two weeks wait (IVF fresh transfer) - very high hcg levels at almost 2000

I think it might be a little hard to tell based on hcg. Really will only know during ultrasound. Just to share my experience: 1st pregnancy (singleton) - hcg 1000+ 2nd pregnancy (2 heartbeats at first scan but miscarried one later) - hcg 900+ 3rd pregnancy (also twins) - hcg 5000+ All the best!!

Subsidies for Fresh and Fet are separate. Whether the embryos will survive thawing really depends on the embryos. No one will know for sure. To share, my medicated FET was as follows: CD2 : started on progynova CD10 : 1st lining scan CD13 : 2nd lining scan, started on crinone gel and...

For my first 2 BFPs (singleton), no. But for my 3rd one, yes. I had bloatedness and nausea which started abt 2 days before blood test. I think it's because for this bfp, I had twins.

Medicated FET doesn't require you to ovulate. You will take meds to prep the womb and do scans to check lining. Once the lining is optimum, you will do the transfer. No ovulation required. Having done both methods before, i do agree it is less stressful than natural. Maybe you can speak to...

For the multivits, folic acid, LRD tea, I had taken them continuously for years when I started IVF. [emoji28] I never really stopped except for the occasional breaks when I took a pause ttc. I visited TCM before so I know my body constitution is the cooling type. So I also avoided cold/cooling...

I ate Brazil nuts (2 to 3 nuts a day), drank longan red date tea (daily), drank chicken essence (bottled kind, daily), avoided all cold/cooling foods, wore socks at night to sleep and drank pomegranate juice to promote good lining. Rest well! All the best for your ET! [emoji120][emoji256]

I actually never eat anything specific to promote quality eggs. I only ate GNC prenatal multi vitamins and folic acid (from Watsons/Guardian). That's all. I did more to prepare for implantation. So I suspect it was my husband's sperms quality that might have improved that resulted in better...

Everytime I ask Dr Tan, he just say "is good" or "looks just like from the textbook". Lol.. he won't tell me the grade exactly. I guess he doesn't want me to focus on the grade. Because even if the grade is lousy, it could still develop into a healthy baby.

Honestly, no one can predict how their pregnancy will progress at the end of the day. It doesn't mean that being pregnant with one, you won't deliver prematurely at week 28, for example (choy *touch wood*). We can only stay positive and take one step at a time.

For myself, wanting children outweighed the risks of having twins, especially after failing so many times. My #1 was actually part of a twin but her twin miscarried at week8. So I always carried this thought that putting 2 doesn't mean I'll get 2 at the end of the day. But well, life will always...

The embryo quality from my first fresh was terrible. Out of 17 embryos, only 2 made it to blastocyst but still failed ( I did get a BFP from one of the embryos but baby was not viable so had to terminate). However, I somehow managed to up my embryo quality for 2nd fresh. We yielded 12...

Actually, i feel Dr Tan too will not be able to answer why we keep failing. I failed 2 fresh and 4 frozen cycles before finally having my #1. He couldn't explain why we failed all those cycles (I have unexplained infertility too). He could only encourage me to keep trying.

I was a patient with Dr Tan at KKH before he moved to private practice. Managed to BFP three times (but only 2 successful births) under him. He is good - kind, patient, definitely knowledgeable and decisive. I know people who are currently under him at his private clinic and sings the same...

Stores that sell affordable maternity wear : H&M, Love Bonito, Jumpeatcry, dearcollective. Uniqlo used to sell too but I'm not sure if they still do. Can also consider getting tent dresses that can accommodate the growing belly (sleeveless type so still easy to just bring down the sleeves for...
