I'm with Dr Irene Chua! She's a very friendly gynae and I feel very comfortable with her, maybe also because I prefer younger gynaes as we can relate better. I also like that she's not the pantang kind (e.g. no issues with trips to Japan, or eating cooling food - it's all up to your comfort...

My gynae advised me to visit her at around 8 weeks, as they needed to book the OSCAR test one month in advance. So probably you can schedule a visit around that period too? Unless your current appointment is in early May then you can consider waiting it out. :)

Congrats! :) May seems a little late, maybe you wanna visit a private gynae to make sure everything is ok first? If you're intending to do the OSCAR test (to test for chromosomal abnormalities) it should be done within 11 ~ 14 weeks of pregnancy.

It helps to keep a food diary of what you eat for each meal, so you'll know what works for you and what not. Western meals are generally safe but cut down on the carbs (fries, pasta) and watch out for the sauces. I do patronize mixed veg rice (chap chai png) stalls too - ordering less/no rice...

I have a lump too at the lower area of my left armpit. It hurts when I press hard on it, like it's swollen. Googled around and some mummies have it during pregnancy. Will ask my gynae during my next appointment.
