I think they took 3 vials of blood from me. It was'nt painful, like an antbite. Just don't look at the needle if possible, its also done very quickly and it will be over before you know it. Followed by a ultrasound scan of baby, measuringl NT thickness etc. HTH

Hi I had the same prob as you, NT scan normal but t21 was 1:35 overall risk. I wanted to go for a second blood test but was advised against it by more than 1 gynae. We did seek a second/3rd opinion. Apparently there will be not much of a diff.
