You can request to know the gender when you do harmony test but not oscar test. Normally if you are not high risk , i.e. > 35 yr old, dr may not ask you to take harmony test. As for oscar, depends on dr.. most will ask to do unless you are already taking the more accurate tests.

YTing , normally gynea will check if the baby is growing well @your first visit if you are more than 5 wks. Some gyneas have very complex machines and the scan cost $90 - 150 per scan. Some gyneas' machines are basic and the scan is not charged or cheaper. I only dont get scan when i am at NUH...

Its quite normal. in your next visit , you can mention and i think dr chan will do a swap to check for yeast infection which was prefectly normal but you need some medication .

hi Missypenguin, just wait for 2 more weeks.. sometimes the ovulation dates are miscalculated and the baby is smaller than expected... its better to wait another 2 weeks and chk again. Alternatively, u cam take blood test to confirm if the hcg is doubling over 2 days. That's another good...

The next thing you could do is probably doa detailed scan with Prof. Anandakumar at SSR centre at Camden. Alot of ppl goes to him to confirm DS before NIPT( harmony /paraoaroma) come along. There are certain facial feature that could be pick up be experienced gynea.

depend on dr.. mine just recomm for other tests given that the oscar result is not accurate. . even heard before.. young mum with low risk have ds baby since the probability plotting is highly dependant on age.
