I believe you can inform the reception staff upon receiving your final bill. theres is a number on the bill where you call for financial related matters. Alternatively, you can consider to downgrade to 4 bedder since your wife needs to extend her stay. It can make a huge diff in your bill.

You can consider compression stockings. I used the ones from scholl brand..quite pricey but worth it for me as it helped alot with my legs cramps! Wear them every night to bed :)
