Best contraceptive method for migraine sufferer

Hi lady_ekin, I too suffer from migraines. I was on the Pill (Yasmin) for 2+ years due to endometriosis. I found the Pill neither lessened my migraines nor worsened them. My migraines remained the same in terms of pain and frequency. You could consider going on the Pill. The side effects are...

Hi ttc2016, I have an endo cyst as well but am not TTC. However, my gynae did tell me that it's very possible to have a successful pregnancy without removing the cyst, as long as the cyst is smaller than 5cm. If it's bigger, there's a chance it may rupture.

Hi lololy, I don't think there are any more advanced machines. The only definite way to diagnose endo is by laparoscopy (keyhole surgery). However, ultrasounds can detect endometrial cysts but will not be able to pick up endo in other areas. I have an endometrial cyst which was picked up by...

I can't imagine being on the Pill for the next 20 years. I know long term use of the Pill decreases the risk of ovarian and endometrial cancer, but increases the risk of breast and cervical cancer. Don't think there's any other viable alternative for now though. You can try Yasmin. So far, it's...

Wow 5 kids! I have just one but not planning to have more. Yasmin has been ok for me weight-wise. I've not gained or lost weight; my weight has remained the same. My friends who are on Yasmin have not experienced changes in their weight either. By "long term", I suppose your gynae means all...

I've been taking Yasmin for a year. So far, it's been ok for me. I'm just concerned about long term use of Yasmin. I'm 33 and am not sure if it's a good idea to be on the Pill all the way till menopause. But then if I get off the Pill, the endo will probably worsen. Sigh!!!

Hi Su-fiona, I have a cyst too. Gynae put me on Yasmin and the cyst has shrunk; won't ever go away completely though. Are you on the Pill too?

Hi jinnous, Happy CNY! Oh dear, yes it's irritating when people keep asking when is number 2 coming. What do you say? BTW, how old is your child? My relatives used to ask me about number 2 when my child was younger. She's almost 6 now and they have fortunately, stopped asking. Any of you...

How close is your hubby with his working partner?

Hi sunbelle, It's good your hubby stopped asking his colleague out for activities like jogging. However, speaking softly after discussing work matters isn't right. If he has nothing to hide, why the need to speak softly? I don't think a man and a woman can ever be close friends, especially at...

Hi daylesford, Bloating and cramps just before AF are typical symptoms of endo, BUT you may or may not be having endo. Is this your first time having such symptoms? Maybe you wait a few more months, and if it seems to happen every month, then you see your gynae? Are you planning for a second...

Hi BB, It has not been scientifically proven that going gluten-free helps Endo patients, but some people have tried a gluten-free diet and felt it has improved their endo symptoms. I've tried going gluten-free for a while and found it very tough. I love bread, pasta, biscuits, cakes i.e...
