Hiring of confinement nanny without agency

Hi everyone, i am pregnant of my #2 and thinking of engaging the same confinement nanny as before.
she is quite pricey because she speaks english and either me or my husband speak mandarin.

Last time i hired her was through an agency and now she is hinting us that we can hire her directly and I only need to apply for her visa (which was what i did before anyway). She will be in Sg and not returning home.

Just wondering before i commit, if anyone hired a nanny during this COVID times under this conditions and if there are any hidden costs and challenges that i am not aware of. Thank you

Just be careful of freelance and recommendations posted online.

There are some recommendations on Auntie Kelly but she is NOT trustworthy and appear unkind thus does not suit well as a nanny, just an advice to be more careful to all looking for confinement nanny.
