Hello all mummies I’m at my 32 weeks and I think I am having Pruritic Urticarial Papules and Plaques of Pregnancy (PUPPS). Omg the itch is unbearable and I have difficulty sleeping at night due to the itch.

Any help to ease the itch? I just bought calamine lotion but it didn’t help at all... Sob sob sob

Oh dear, poor thing.
I had bad rashes and itch around week 26 and it went on for about 4 weeks. I'm not sure if mine is also PUPPS, but i have itchy abdomen and in the night it's difficult to sleep. When I manage to fall asleep i'll end up scratching and bleeding.

keep your body cool - i resort to using aircon often. heat will make you more itchy.
dry sweat off your body regularly - keep a towel with you often. Sweat retention will cause rashes, and then scratching.
i also used lotion/oil (clarins tonic oil) daily after my showers to help my body stretch without itching. do not use calamine lotion. i think it will dry the body.
drink lots of fluid to help your body stay hydrated
if you also scratch when you sleep, consider wearing mittens/gloves. I wore them so that i dont end up bleeding when i scratch in my sleep.

If your itch does not stop, i think seeing a specialist may help. They have medicine to help you.

All the best.

Thanks for your advice!
I will try to get Clarins tonic oil otherwise will see if gynae can help with some medication...

I had puppp with my first. I find that bathing with pine tar soap help with reducing the itch. You can get it from iherb.
My gynae also prescribe antihistamine which I only take when the itch become unbearable.
I carry an ice pack with me so that I can give the bumps cold compress to numb the itch.

Hi mummies, i suddenly developed itchy rashes on my legs and hands at 19 weeks pregnant. My belly is ok though...not sure is it PUPPS or others. Will be seeing gynae next week and will ask. Any rec to make the rashes go off?
