March 2019 Mummies

I just tested pregnant, when to see a gynae and was told that there is the only sac, no heartbeat yet. I didn't know what to do, if I knew, I would have waited till 8 weeks.

Anyway, I am struggling which gynae to visit and which hospital to deliver. Anyone has any recommendation?

How many weeks are you now? Usually can't see heartbeat if you are still early so don't worry too much.
I started by asking my friends for recommendation on which gynae. So a few things you might want to consider is the cost, the hospital that the gynae can deliver, location of the clinic, whether the gynae is specialised in any areas(e.g. high risk pregnancy or known to be very pro natural etc)
Good luck. Hope you can find a gynae That you are comfy with that support your choices

Congrats everyone! I got tested positive 2 days back and I'm so excited :) Based on LMP, my date should be around mid March.
This is my first pregnancy and as everyone else I'm lost. So happy to see this group and looking forward to joining the WA group soon.

Looking for the right Gynae too. I had been to Dr Benjamin Tham and Dr Loh Feong Seei during TTC, had a good experience with both. Anyone visited Dr Loh or have got any reviews of him as a gynae?

Doctor says about 4-5week pregnant. LMP was mid May but because my period has never been accurate, so it is not accurate that I am 8weeks.

Ya the gynae that makes me comfortable. Probably need word of mouth. I’m struggling between TMC and KKH.

Am currently seeing Dr Douglas Ong at Mount E! But still deciding if I shld give Dr Jonathan Wee a shot :)

Nice meeting you all!

Hi babe!

I tried sending you a PM with my contact details but the system detected as spam hence I’m not able to reach you despite many tries.

Do you mind to drop me a PM first so I can reply you with my contact no.? I would like to join the other ladies in March 2019 whatsapp chat, thank you!

Hi everyone! I was tested positive with a home testing kit two days ago and went to see a gynae ystd to confirm. First pregnancy so am feeling super lost and nervous now.

I was experiencing a lot of pain last week and thought it was an intestinal infection. Gynae said I should be 4 - 5weeks in, and the pain is likely due to the multiple fibroids I have.

Am looking for another gynae as I didn’t feel comfortable with the one I saw. Thinking of Dr Benjamin Tham as I’ve read great reviews on him.

Excited to have found this group and look forward to joining a WA group chat! :)

hello all,
congrats to all the mummies
i official tested yesterday and got positive result ( had feeling i am preggy after missed my period for a week, but only tested after 2weeks missed period ). I should be at 5weeks pregnant now and this is my 2nd pregnancy and going to schedule a gynae visit soon.
Nice meeting you all and hope all of us have smoothly pregnant journey. XOXO

Hi everyone! Congrats and Glad I could join in the mummy’s group.
I just tested positive a few days back so I’m prob looking at 24/3 as my edd?
This is my first time joining a group like this I’m waiting for 8 weeks to see my gynea cuz that’s what most sites said and also cuz see now also can’t see much. I did read abt chemical pregnancy and failed pregnancy tho.. so I’m a little worried... Gosh.. so many things to worry abt! First to conceive then to wait to test if it’s positive.. then to see if it sticks and later birth! oh well! Glad to meet u guys! :):)

Actually if u want restructured Hospitals I know SGH is also very equipped with doc! (I remember someone was telling me the head of Dept and prof Tan lay Kok also) I’m checking a private doc at MT E.. he’s dr L S Lien. He’s an old guy.. and prob one of the cheapest in town.. think he’s package from 12 weeks is abt 900 all in? If I have any complication then I suppose I will go to SGH

Hi, first time mummy here. Heard from my friends that the first urine will be the best for testing the test kit, so tried on Wed morn, which is the first day I miss my period. Had a faint positive. Regretted because I couldn't concentrate the whole day at work haha!

Decided to try with Thurs morn with the digital model, I conceived 2-3 weeks ago, but according to LMP, I should be in my 5th week.

Having mixed feelings, happy but at the same time not sure what to do! since Wednesday I've been googling on what food I can't eat. Was at Tuk Tuk Cha with my hubby on Wed, and realise I can't drink any of their drinks. Lol

If the digital kit shows 2-3 weeks . It means you will be about 5 weeks pregnant. So the estimation from lmp is correct. Congratulations.

Hello mummies! I’m a first time mummy, with edd in early March. I tried to pm to join the WhatsApp group but also faced being detected as spam and e message couldn’t go through.. :(

Hi all, tested positive 2 days ago and this will be my 2nd pregnancy. Based on my LMP, edd is 29 march 2019. Will be seeing Prof Tan H.K @ SGH next month.

I really hope and pray this baby sticks with me till the end because I had a stillbirth with #1 last october when I was 6 months pregnant with her. Still grieving for her loss and at the same time, im really thankful to God for this amazing gift again. I was diagnosed with PCOS after giving birth to #1, I thought it will take very long for me to get pregnant again but I’m really really thankful for this.

Hello mommies-tb! I'm abt 8 weeks preggo now and I was wondering if you've heard whether we can't eat stingrays while being pregnant due to its 'high mercury content'? So far there's no articles saying that stingray should be avoided. Help a craving mummy out here!

hello,
I'm about 7 weeks preggy now starting to have very bad appetite and nausea. anyone has good food recommendation to increase appetite ?

congratulations all mummy-to-be!

hi Raiesa,
congratulations and god bless. I had the same problem as you with pcos and a still pregnancy early last year but not as lucky as you to get pregnant naturally again. I had to go through IVF this round and thank God that it was successful with first cycle.

im really grateful for this baby and hope we all get through this successfully !

Hi Em,
Read about don't eat "high mercury" food during pregnancy. Certain fish - such as king mackerel, tilefish, swordfish, shark, albacore tuna and red snapper - contain large amounts of mercury that can be harmful to fetal brain and nervous system development. Seafood such as lobster and blue crab also make the "do not eat" list but stringray was not in the list, probably safe to eat but not over eat.

I think it's better to avoid for the time being.
Heard about this too.

Congratulation to you too. Hope we both have a successful pregnancy and have our rainbow babies!

Hi.. I am new here... I went to the gynae when I suspect I was pregnant... At that time.. Could not see anything with scans.. Did blood test to confirm pregnancy. Went for another check up this Monday for my 6th week check up.. Could only see the Sac.. Cannot see the fetal pole.. So worried and scared.. I have been having brown discharge when I wipe since Tuesday. Any advise? Going for another check up this coming Monday..

Thanks in advance..

Congrats to all mummies!

Dear mummies,
