4months old son keep sucking fingers

Mm.. I will rather to give pacifier..

Very soon he will start to learn to touch and catch.. how to ensure his hand is clean before he suck his fingers? o_O

Pacifier nowadays are designed better, choose those with slim/flattened on the bottom, to prevent gap teeth - I personally choose Avent orthodontic.

Sucking on thumb will also affect teeth development.

Moreover when it comes to weaning them from pacifier, you can hide, trick, etc with their pacifier, but you couldn't hide their thumb, their thumb will always by their side.

Most babies start teething between 4 and 7months. But at this age, a more likely possibility is that your baby has started to "find" his hands, which may become her new favorite playthings.

There are lots of tricks that can help (bitter lotion, thumb guard). If he continues this habit of thumb-sucking for next couple of years, it might not be appropriate. But it's a natural response for a baby this age.
