Hi, give you rough idea as what I heard from my sil...

think your hub can go and check tgt as sometimes might be husband issue.

Should be can choose female doc but is better to call and ask as they might have assigned certain doc since was with appointment.

Not sure the charges for KKH but below private clinic at hosp charged fyi:-
Ultrascan $80, Consultanton 1st visit $100-$200
Subsequent visit $80-$100

Is better if you can give them a call before go, to ask if anything need to take note for example not to have sex before checking..

And I think they will do ultrascan, blood test etc.. i heard my sil mentioned before..

With ultrascan, doc can tell straight away if anything in womb..

It depends on your ultrascan and blood test result to see if you need any further check up I think..

Btw, do you feel any pain when you got menses every mth?

Hi Lovely,

Hi there
pap smear is required, if you have not had one in recent 1-2 yrs.

menses 3-5 days are typically normal, but pain is not. mine is usually super painful on 1st day but recently I start getting it earlier. they found out I have adenomyosis and maybe endometriosis... which can only be confirmed by surgery.

Hubby should do semen analysis. roughly $50-60, before subsidy.

you will need to do alot more tests...
blood tests, hormones, etc, and must do HSG to see if yr tubes are blocked.

Hi There.. Thanks for the info.

Sorry to hear about what they found out about you having adenomyosis and maybe endometriosis.

So what did doctor advise you? Is that the cause for not getting preggy naturally?

My KKH Appt is on 24 April. After that then ill know the result and go on to the next step.

Lets pray for each other :) Take care :)

Hi dear. Have you went for your consultation?
Are you able to share how much you’ve spent and the procedures? Thanks

Hi Gginy,

You can just see the Doctor at polyclinic and mention you need a referral letter for TTC for how many years at no success. The Doctor will just write down whatever we claim then appt will be booked for further consultations at hospital.

Hi Fadana,

1) While referred to hospital, you may request for you hubby to check at KKH as well. He will be given another Doctor for male fertilitu checkup.

2) I was given a male Doctor but only saw him twice in my first cycle. Doctors work as a team throughout the checkup. So you may not see your requested doctor in every appts.

3) With referral letter, every consultation visits are at subsidised rate. Depending on your Doctor. Mine abt $40+ every visits. Other test procedures will incur more cost. But we always pay partial. A good thing abt gov hospital. As long as you pay.

4) Ladies do more checks. Blood test for ovulation. Check ovary and tubes. It’s a bit uncomfortable because the tube goes all the way up to the cervix. Mild cramp while doing the procedure. Hubby only give semen sample. Also, another cost.

5) You have to make frequent visits and time consuming. I went to KKH bcz nearer to work & home.

6) Results about 1 week but the Doctor appt is monthly, subject to Doc’s availability. I went check up in Aug 2017. My IVF cycle in April 2018.

7) It really depends on you on how the results will be. More checks may be needed. Mine about 3-4 months of check up?
