Haha go for dr john tee lor at least he's one of gynae i know. $2.5k is the deposit which u must pay upon admission ma. Then the $2k is the bill after deductions

I'm looking for gynae now as well and one of my friends recommended me A/Prof John Tee for KKH private as well. Haven't decided yet which gynae to go with though!

I am looking for a Gynae too, I went to Tampines' women's clinic for my first scan around 8th week. But i am planning to have my delivery in KKH. Can someone suggest a good gynae from KKH? Also The Doctor gave me a medicine to sustain my pregnancy and folic acid. He did not give me any prenatal multivitamins. Can some one tell me when generally you start taking multivitamins?

I'm seeing prof Han how Chuan in kkh, head of urogynae. I've been seeing him for UTI, YEAST INFECTION, now pregnant. He's a patient person who will spend time to reply n explain any doubt. My visit yesterday for routine check, scan and collection of folic acid cost abt $150

I am also seeing Prof HC Han. Initial went to him back in 2014 upon discovery of cyst during a medical check up and was asked to seek specialist advice. After a couple of appointment with him, I was good to be discharged (the cyst disappeared by itself) and wasn't something life threatening..

I am back with Prof Han when I discovered my pregnancy.

But the down side is be prepared to wait for at least 30 minutes for an appointment.

My gynae is Dr Han. Gave birth to my boy via c-sec on end April. It took him approximately 30 minutes to get everything done, including sewing of wound.

Recovery rate is largely depending on individual. Heard from the nurses (those old bird) that his stitching skill is great. As of now, my wound is only one thin pink line across.

The pix show is the wound after 27 days of operation. I have boxed my wound on the pix.

Dear Cat&Bjorn,

Thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate it as I am really in difficult situation to decide to continue with dr han or to change to dr adrian.
From your picture I saw scar is really minimum and yes his stitching skill is quite good.

May I know how long does you have pain after delivery (i mean from the day of operation until remove the sutures as I heard dr han use sutures instead of dissolvable sutures)?
And can you also share your experience during delivery (taking epidural etc)?
Does anesthesiologist has good skill?
Does your experience during operation with dr han (within 30mins) ok?

The two reasons I have plan to change to dr adrian is that a lot of mummies mentioned that they have pain only about 2 days after delivery with dr adrian. They said they can do house chores on third day of delivery.
Another reason is I wonder the anesthesiologist from kkh has good skill or not.

Thank you so much in advance.

Didn't experience much pain. Can get off the hospital bed, brush my teeth and catch the sunrise standing by window on 2nd day after the operation. I went back 2 weeks later to have the stitch removed. Didn't do any household chore after discharge as my confinement nanny does it.

The anesthesiologist assigned is quite patient with me as I have a great fear of needle and was shivering. He chose the thinnest needles of all and had his assistant to divert my attention while he is doing his job. Had no deal that he's done with the epidural. He and a couple of nurses (supposed to me midwives) explained to me what is going to happen during the operation beforehand.

Hubby was allowed to come along. He was prepared to see the whole procedure but was blocked off from his sight. He is allowed to sit in and chit chat with me while Dr Han is doing the job. We had no idea that my boy is already out until we heard his cries. Hubby was allowed to see the boy while the midwives cleaned him up. Dr Han came up and told me every is fine when he is done.

Dr Han popped by on the following day (which is Labour Day) to see if I am fine.
