Oscar Test - DS

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone went for the Oscar test?

We got our result today and was told that our baby has high risk of DS. (adjusted result 1 : 54)

We were told by doctor to go for Igene test which will show more accurate result.
We need to wait for 2 weeks now.

Does anyone know how to read the result for oscar test?

The way they read it is - 1 in 54 will have down syndrome, means there will be 53 babies who will not have down syndrome

Seems like is about 2% base on the figure. It really spolit our days with this result.
Wonder how true the test is......

We waited 8 years for our precious baby and now the result showed this......sigh...

Finger crossed that everything is fine with the baby.

Don't give up hope. It may be false alarm. Just go for the iGene and see how it goes.

Hello,

You can consider giving Harmony test a try. It has a higher accuracy rate.
