Thank you! and all the best to baby and you too. I think my next question soon will be:

"what cot/crib is everyone getting?"

Yes i need to know all that too as I have no clue what to buy for a new born.... :) seems like these day new borns have too many options :D

I am ashamed to say I might end up buying the Stokke cot (then i need not crack my head to think what cot to buy).

Buttt..... my pockets aren't so deep too. so erm ya, I welcome any other suggestions from other mummies. WHAT COTS/CRIBS HAVE YOU DECIDED?

WHAT CAR SEATS HAVE YOU DECIDED?

thank you :)

How did you guys overcome constipation? I just spent 40 mins in the toilet and my boss even came and ask if I am alright. :(

1. Eat fruits and veges
2. Accept that there will be days when the poop just don't come but will come on other days.
3. Inform Gynae and see if there's any thing for it.

:) Jiayou!

Is stokke the best? I am sorry if I am sounding dumb for asking all these questions but I have actually not started with any research on all these things....i guess I better start preparing now :-I

Include chia seeds in your diet....1 tablespoon everyday should help.
also try eating two kiwis everyday.....if these dont work....take prune juice.

I dont need all these but just sometimes while travelling if I get constipated (due to less water and fiber intake and all) i start taking chia seeds and everything becomes smooth.

Any mummies have the same? I tried asking my Friend but she never experience that during preg. Is it normal to feel cramps/pain at the belly button area/stomach around there? When walking, coughing or peeing, it hurts more

Hi Everyone,

I am a first time mum to be at 22 weeks. Any recommendations for doctors at NUH?

Appreciate all advice, thanks!

Hi ladies,

Are your tummy slight hard? My gynae seems very concerned during the last visit.. He say I'm actually having contractions which sometimes make my tummy very very hard..

He prescribed me duphaston and now I dont get the contractions as frequently anymore, but my tummy is still always slightly hard..

Hey guys,

Just wanted to ask, did you all get alot of fetal movement when you were about 25 weeks? Or was it like active one day but subdued and muffled another day?

My boy is not really a mover and I don't have an anterior placenta. I just don't know what is "normal" fetal movements and I don't want to keep popping into my gynae's office.

Thanks! : )

Thanks for sharing babe. I had my first check up earlier this week with Dr Paul Tseng of TMC. I thought I was 7+ wks along but the ultrasound scan showed I was only 6+ wks. It was a surprisingly fast and fuss free experience - Dr went out for a delivery 15 mins prior to our appointment timing and he was back within half an hour. We waited a bit for a while cos there were 4 other mommies who were waiting to see him. Nurse took my height, weight, bp and told me to keep my bladder full for the ultrasound scan.

In his office, Dr greeted us and asked standard questions about drug allergy, medical conditions, any surgery history, LMC etc, before directing me to do the ultrasound scan. What showed up in a scan was pretty curious - hub thought it looked like a butterfly, doc described it as an owl, in my mind I was wondering "??? Don't know where to look, what to see". First thing Dr asked me was "Do you have twins in the family?" and told me that I was having a pair of fraternal twins with 2 separate amniotic sacs. Hub and I were so surprised but we couldn't stop grinning.

After the scan, Dr asked us if we have questions for him. He said supplements were not necessary at this point of time and prescribed me with only folic acid. We were so pleasantly surprised that we forgot to ask him questions about twin pregnancies and whether progesterone supplements were required. After we took some time to digest the news, it later dawned on us that KKH might provide better support for multiple pregnancies. Now we are in a bit of a dilemma to stick to Dr Paul Tseng (because he is so nice!) or to jump ship to another Dr from KKH. My friends recommend Dr June Tan from KKH but when I called the hospital, the officer on the line said Dr Tan will be on leave till July and even then, she will have to take a look at her schedule to see if she wants to accommodate me :( She recommended me to see specialists from the maternal-fetal unit for my case - Dr Daniel Koh / Dr Edwin Thia / Dr Tan Kai Lit. I am still trying to read reviews about them.

Thanks for reading my lengthy post :). Will appreciate your advice ;) And a smooth sailing pregnancy to all!
Hi, just saw ur post! I m also preg with fraternal twins (2 girls), and Edd in Jan too! What's ur twins gender?

Hi Seowmama,

I've only started feeling fetal movements around 28 wks as it is my first pregnancy. The movements weren't very strong. I am currebtly in 32wks+ and the movements started to feel stronger and more noticeable each day.

Hi Sueno, I resorted to taking the following....
1. Prunes
2. Oranges
3. Vegetables
4. Vitagen
5. Walk a bit more as advised by physio from antennatal class.
6. Please drink more water if you are increasing your fiber intake.
7. When all else fails, I did obtain lactulose from my gynae to standby.

Hope this helps.

My actual edd is 15 January 2018. However, my baby's growth seems to be plateauing (as per my gynae's words when she charts his growth). so she was saying that i might have to deliver earlier if things continue the way they are.

:)

are you all set to meet your baby?

Has any mummies experienced shortness of breath and heart palpitations during mid to end of the second trimester?

Also how to cope with insomnia?

Many thanks!
Yes me I am having shortness of breath every morning . Is quite bad that I need to take interval break on my way to work. Currently in my 28th week. Did you check your blood count? I have low blood count.

Is any mummy still working? When will you start to take your maternity leave ?2 more days to week 37 for me and I'm already feel tired with swollen/aching legs.

Hi hi! my EDD is on 15/1/17 but I've been on leave since 26/12/17. Currently using my 2016 and 2017 vacation leave. Yes, it is getting really painful and tired to walk with pelvic pressure and aching back.

However, I am now supppperrrrr bored at home. It is a waiting game now!

My edd is very near yours, 18 Jan. But most likely I'll be having c sect cause baby is still head up!

Good for you that you can rest and be prepared from now till Jan! My nesting instinct haven't kick in yet

I am scared to hell about giving birth. But yet, I can't wait for my son to be out because monitoring his fetal movements is driving me nuts. Sometimes he moves, sometimes he doesn't.

Gee.

I'm also quite scared about the whole delivery. So far I don't feel any pain, just aches here and there. Where will you be delivering your baby boy?
