Hello ladies

I am 6weeks 3 days pretty with twins from IVF. Just found out yesterday. Was kinda surprised as the Dr's all thought it will be a singleton based on the BHCG. Anyway, they have their own placenta and sacs. I also got rejected by a Dr to tc me because of my age 40. Now scrambling to find a nice Dr in private sector. X

Hope we can have a fruitful time sharing experience.

Hi please add me... my number is 91129945. Thanks.

Hi mummies, I just done my confinement and do have a recommendation of my confinement lady to others mom-to-be out here. You don't have to worry about if you engaged her. She's from Malaysia with 2 years professional experienced from confinement center and 8 years experienced as a freelance CL. Some CL are relatively cheap but I go for quality rather than cost.
She takes good care of me, especially for my baby. She's very concerned, being patient to my daughter and really shows love. My daughter stays with her every night and she responsibility.
She make everything run smoothly during my confinement. As a new mom, I don't need to worried about and I can fully trust on her.
By the way, her cooking was pretty good.
I've learnt a lot from her of how to take care of a baby and of course of her professional, I did extended her for a month.
If any Mommy wants to get more information of my CL, here's her WhatsApp or call to +601136539563.

Hi

I'm currently 13weeks n preggy w non-identical twins.
I've done Oscar test n my overall risk assessed is Low risk.
So if Oscar result is Low risk, does it mean that I don't need do any further test like harmony etc?
Can I join your group, WA or FB group?

Hello ladies,

I just had my 6 week scan yesterday and saw two heartbeats. I have loads of questions now..

The scan came as a scare to me as I was bleeding red in the morning and doctor diagnosed it to be a small pool of mass at the bottom of my placenta of one of the twin. I'm told to be in bed rest and that it should subside in a few weeks. Anyone experienced this?

Also, what is the difference between oscar, NIPT(panorama) and harmony and which is the most suitable for twin pregnancy? I did ivf and hence it's fratenal twins.

Appreciate any advice, thanks ladies :)

Oscar is mainly nt measurement
Nipt n harmony test is based on blood test to see any down sydrome n bb gender. Depends on ur age , I did both Oscar n harmony test. Meanwhile u do more bedrest for first tri

I'm 33 turning 34.. are the tests considered cheaper if done in nuh/kkh than private clinics? Since I'm also considering changing gynae as suggested by TMC nurse as I can then opt for govt subsidy in the event of premature.

Govt hospital cost will be cheaper than Pte hospital. If u want to have subsidised rate, u can go to Polyclinic for referral letter to see gynae in govt hospital but you won't be able to choose which gynae to see.

I wanted to share a good reviews of my greatest CL, Aunty Nee who is from Malaysia too. 2 Years ago I'd engaged a terrible CL caused my whole confinement period went to a big mess. Thank God I've found Aunty Ah Nee, a professional and friendly CL this time for my confinement and both my twins baby She tooks very good care of me and especially both my twins too. What I can say is Aunty Nee was more concern about my baby. This is my first time handling a twins, I was so gancheong because they was very small at first but luckily I had Aunty Nee here for me and also taught me a lot of how to handle twins and all kinds of information that I had to know but I don't really know about them. No matter in cooking, handles my babies needs, hygiene and so on, she manages everything smooth and nice. She is a very responsible CL that I've ever seen so far. Any mommies who are looking forward for a good CL can look for Aunty nee. Trust me, you won't regret and I guarantee you will be thankful for engaging such a great CL.+601136539563 is her number. Can whatsapp her if you want to.

Hi ladies,

I'm currently 8 weeks and having a difficult time deciding which gynae to go to. On one hand I would like a high risk private doctor to see me through but I've been warned so much about premature babies requiring nicu and the hospitalisation costs in a private nicu can be crippling.

Has anyone tried going to both private and subsidized (aka two timing) gynaes? Meaning if the babies are full term, I can continue at private. If they r premature, then I'll check in at a subsidized hospital (my preference is nuh).

No no.. .if pre mature go to kk...
Well equip...n better treatment...
If can go to Mt E....

U can ask your Pte gynae to refer u to public hospital incase of premature birth. Pte nicu is very costly at 1k per day per child. It can cost 100k depending on how Long your child stay.

I am seeing a private doctor but my first scan showed twins. Next appointment will do oscar scan but I'm also wondering I should hop over to Kkh in case the babies need neonatal care. Friends recommended that I should see a specialist from the maternal-fetal unit but I do not know of any good ones there (other than the titles on their website). Or should I just stick to my current gynae for the time being.

Hello mommies! Im in 12 wks, identical twins too. Currently with kkh private and was xfer to high risk twins clinic. Didnt feel comfortable bcause everytime its different docs seeing me and my own gynea will only meet me in nov for delivery. So.. im considering other private hospital or gynea too.

Is KKH better than NUH, in terms of neonatal care? I've heard very gd reviews about NUH and am considering going there.

I delivered my mcda twin girls in April at nuh subsidy..
Yogi.L for clinic g at nuh u have to get referral from polyclinic then they will arrange the first visit for you..
I'm not sure for kkh.. But for nuh subsidy clinic.. I'm with the high risk side which is located inside the clinic. I'm only seen by senior consultant or prof.. The clinic rotates with 3 Of them.. From the day I know it's twins till the day I gave birth.. Frankly speaking.. Is a very pleasant journey.. My twins was born prematurely at 34 weeks and had to stay in the NICU for a month due to slow weight gain..
No cash outlay at all as after subsidy the balance is deductable through medisave..
Who help me with my delivery?
Gynaes on duty at the delivery suit...
I was already 8cm dilated and on active labor but still I chose to go ahead with a csect as I want to put the risk at its lowest for my twin 2 ah she's breech.. Definitely there are gynaes out there who's very confident and skilled to do a natural delivery..
And for nuh subsidized clinic.. There's no package available.. In case u ladies wanna know how is the bill before sub.. My babies bill add together about 20k before sub.. The NICU nurses has taken care of them really very well.. They will share how your baby progress and prompt you if needed.. They will also encourage kangaroo carry too.. All my births is with nuh.. Both private class and subsidy class... Other than the room and the food.. To me is all the same..

Hello I'm a baby sitter based in Buangkok Crescent.

Feel free to text me at 98008680 for more information if you need one. :)

Thanks @crystaloves ! I've already gotten my referral letter from polyclinic and waiting for first appt in Aug. but I'm not sure if they will put me on the high risk side. Being able to be seen by only senior consultants and prof sounds good!

Hi Mummies,
I am expecting my 2nd baby this year.

I would like to share, recently I attended an awesome nutritional class. The speaker is one of the well-known nutritional teacher in the field.
She has been teaching for 17 years and was even invited to attend health talks on television.

She share very details information like what rice, eggs or chicken we should look out for and what household products we should be aware as the toxins/chemicals will be harmful to our baby in the tummy.

I really feel this is a very essential class for all mummies to attend.
As we all want a healthy cute little baby!

She has class on Mon 7.30pm, Wed 7.30pm & Sunday 4pm

If you are interested, let me know I can help you to enroll the class. :)

Hi all, first time mum here. Just went for check up and found out that I'm having fraternal twins. I'm still in shock as we do not have any family history of twins. May I know what are the costs of delivering in private hospitals as compared to govt hospitals? We are rather worried about the costs involved if there are any complications. Anyone has any gynae to recommend for twins? Should we go for oscar or harmony test? Also, did any mummies with twins delivered naturally? Thanks mummies.

Hello, maybe you'd like to do a search online cos there are different websites that compare delivery charges between private and restructured hospitals. I think the concern for twins is more of the possibility of incurring high charges should they be delivered early and require neonatal care. Hence most mummies would choose a govt hospital to be on the safe side.

If you go kkh or nuh, they will probably refer you directly to the high risk or maternal-fetal specialists. I'm seeing associate consultant Dr Daniel Koh fr Kkh. Have only seen him once and find him quite nice and careful (though a bit on the kancheong side)

Some mommies prefer to start with oscar (cheaper) and then move on to harmony (more ex) if there is a need to. Some prefer to do harmony directly.

It is possible to deliver twins naturally though I suppose if the situation then presents something unexpected, eg. one of the twins is in breech position, then probably still have to go csect.

On another note, anyone heard of the igene test? Their website shows very good results- like much lower false positives/ negatives for trisomies compared to other nipts. They also claim to be able to pick up other genetic disorders. But have not heard of this test other than the trial in nuh. There's nothing much on the internet also - only some discussions from mommies in Australia. Anyone doing this test?

Hi..
I am doing the igene test as its the only nipt offered by the doc I see (I am guessing it is because he created it).
I was advised that the high accuracy is only for the base 3 (which harmony tests for from my online search), while the rest may have higher false positive rate. So currently I opted out of the extras but wonder if in that case, I should just switch to a doc who offers harmony (which is cheaper)

Is your dr based in nuh? Can share his name? N what are the price differences?
