Jiayou. Must be a stressful time, hope it passes soon. I'm thinking if you can consider switching to a high risk doc from nuh? I'm seeing a high risk doc now, while I'm worried about the uncertainty, he seems pretty used to handling such cases.

I'm assuming that ivf docs expertise are more in fertility but I may be wrong.

Haha no! I went for one recommended by my friend. Hope she's good cos I had a bad experience with the 1st one.

Im also on duphaston and proluton jab twice weekly. Having brown discharge when wipe just today. Worried.

My next review schedule on end july. Long wait. I should b 6weeks now. My spotting has ceased. Thanks. How abt u? When is your next review? How long did your doc prescribed the meds? My doc prescribed it for 8weeks.

That's a long time till your next checkup!
Did the doc do blood tests before prescribing the progesterone meds? My friend who did ivf was saying the hormone levels should be monitored, but so far I only went for early hcg tests and no further tests were required when I asked the doc.

I went for first scan last sat but cant see much. He gave me two choice. To see him this sat or next mth. As i feel too near and it will b only a slight difference. I chose next mth. Not sure need to monitor but i ask him last sat if i shld continue the med. He say yes.

I'm reaching week 9, review this Thurs. medicine shld remain for first trimester at least I think. MaYbe u can bring forward abit for peace of mind since u had spotting.

Think it is better to stay with public hospitals - either nuh or kkh - in case of premature delivery. How far along are you?

I had some brown spotting which I told the doc yesterday. He spotted a blood clot beside the sac, so he put me on progesterone jabs and gave me 2 week mc to rest. Advised more rest, no shopping and exercise and carrying of heavy stuff.

Ah! Good coincidence for EDD on cny day 1!
Doc gave a jab to stop spotting / fresh bleeding spotted x 1 occurrence this morning. As well as some pills to take thrice a day. Hope that will stop. Wonder what cause the spotting/bleeding? Bedrest for a week if not he wanna admit me...
 
Hi mummies, does anyone have fast heartbeat at this stage? I have been getting them such that I feel quite uncomfortable and need to lie down to rest.
Not sure if it is really pg related or due to the meds (pred, duphaston) I am told to take.

Thats what hubby thinks too... thou he says its my choice. Coz the IUI doc will be transferring back to my original gynae, Dr. CK Khoo, and hubby says, I can easily reach Dr. Khoo if anything (he shares his mobile number for msging). Although i did think of seeing Dr. Wendy Teo at Mt. E Novena.

I think I am about 6 weeks. I was too excited (or should i say shocked) to ask more... :/

Oh actually I won't choose Mt E for twins as the cost may escalate very fast! But it's still up to your comfort level.
I am actually seeing a gynae at Mt. E Novena now, and the amount I spent so far is easily 3x my previous gynae at GlenE. I am just sticking with him for now cos mine is a high risk pg.
Have been researching on delivery in govt vs private. Seems that govt is more midwife led labour and slower in pain relief since they are so packed (can't let you hog the labour ward on epi at early stage), but neonatal facilities are excellent. Tough choice cos I had a very painless delivery for no1 and saw my gynae 4x during labour so it's more reassuring that I am in good hands

Yeah.. the cost factor is one main thing... coz with twins... situtations can be unpredictable. The only thing that is really putting me off is the midwife led labour in govt hospital as this is my first time, i feel that i need to be reassured from time to time i guess. :( so confused.
 
Hi Mummies! Just test positive last week..=) Will be expecting my No.3! When for scan at Dr. Adrian Woodworth last 2 days but unable to see anything yet.. hubby hates the busyness of the clinic and does not wish to continue visiting him. So will visit Dr.Manisha from Kkh next 3 weeks. =)

Hello Feb Mummies!

This is my first time getting a positive on a home test kit aft 3yr++. I was surprised and did 4 urine test to confirm it was not a false positive. Hahaha

Went to poly to get referral to NUH but appt was on Aug. Got a little anxious and went to visit Dr Loh Seong Feei in TFC today.

My very first scan got me in tears... Doc confirmed im 6wk and edd 22 feb 2018. I was prescribed with duphaston for 10days, 2 pills a day to strengthen the womb or smthi as its my first pregnancy. Doc showed the heart blinking but was unable to hear the heartbeat yet. Next appt in 3 wk time.

Hi ladies! Just went for my first appt yest. Saw baby's heart blinking and it brought me to tears. However doc also discovered a 5cm cyst on my right side but he said it's quite normal and some will go off itself after awhile. I really hope nth will happen!

I'm at 6w5d tdy. Just gotta my 1st US n saw the heartbeat but cannot hear yet coz too soft. The FHR is 105 bpm.
I read from Google that is normal range at 6-7 wks. But my gynae said too low.

Sometimes google can be our best friend sometimes better not to google and get worried. Take it slow :)

Agree not to google too much. Though I am guilty of that too!
My no1 hb was slow at 6w scan and my gynae then just prescribed utrogestan and bed rest. At 7w scan the hb was back to normal and the pg was successful.
So try not to worry and rest more.

I bleed at initial stage so b4 my gynae sees me ytd.. He did not wan to See Me thou I bleed. So I scare n went to find another gynae tt time. Tdy is my follow up my hub said since made appt then juz go although I went to my actual gynae ytd liao.
U know wat tdy this gynae told me I'm at 6w 0d n she can't detect heartbeat.
But my gynae ytd told me I'm at 6w5d and heartbeat is 105 bpm. N he said to him is slow.
So wat is wat... So much Diff

Did u tell her what the previous gynae say? Cos I would be very worried !
 
Hi all,

I am first time MTB, went for my scan yesterday and edd is 18feb. I have a lot of cough and left arm pain. Nausea vomiting at its peak and gone really weak as I can't eat anything. Mostly common symptoms but I don't know why so much shooting arm pain. Anyone with same symptoms ?

Are both scans via v scan? Or one or them is tummy scan? The size can't change so much in one day. What's your next step?
Usually gynae will always see you if you are spotting.. at least to establish the current situation. If she doesn't then I would suggest to switch doc. 1st tri is more unstable for some and require more monitoring.
I just went to see mine yest and while he says see him in 2 weeks time cos he is away, he did tell me to call the clinic immediately if I have spotting, and the stand in doc can see me.

Is by vaginal scan. My original gynae took some time to find the heartbeat n he measure my bb size n tell me.
But ytd tt female gynae she jux saw the sac n point to it then tell me this is the fetus. Then say no heartbeat yet. Less than 5min OK liao. She did even bother to take time find Whr is the heartbeat position. Just use cursor point to the fetus measure n say no heartbeat.
Nvr even measure how big is the fetus. Just tell me got grow
 
Went for my scan today and heard bb's heartbeat! Bb is around 9 weeks and edd is on 7 Feb. I'm still feeling nauseous but much better already compared to last two weeks

Just wondering had anyone done or will be doing harmony test? My doc has suggested to do at 13 weeks. What your experience have been for those who had done it?

She was careful with my girl and cooked wonderful meals everyday for me. Best of all she is very discreet and clean as I know what it is like to have another stranger living with us for a good month long. In fact after she left, she came back a few more times to help me when I was struggling with my newborn . If you are interested, let me know and I will be happy to share her contacts.

Hi! I conceived naturally the next cycle after lap surgery with Dr Loh. His skills are really good but I didn't go back to him after I conceived as I find his waiting time is too Long and is more of a fertility specialist rather than OG haha

Not delivery anytime soon but 6 weeks, usually transvaginal is more clear..than abdominal scan..but if it's all well, even wid abdominal can see heartbeat..

Previously I used to think that way..but apparently it's very much safe as it doesn't enter the uterus..jz at the vagina area..and usually they only use that as the 2nd option..unless u head down to emergency, they will use that if it's below 8weeks cz fetus too small..tts what I know

Hello! Experiencing this too.. dont remember experiencing this for my 1st & 2nd. Feel feverish too almost every night but no temp.

I zzz around 2ish 3 in the morning.... up 9ish 10. Then afternoon nap again...
 

First time mum-to-be here :)
Anyone else EDD around Feb 2018?
Tested positive on Sunday and visited gynae yesterday. Couldn't really see the gestational sac yet though o_O
Going back to gynae again in 2 weeks, keeping my fingers crossed!
