Paediatrician to recommend?

Hi mommies!

I'm thinking to bring my 14 weeks old boy to a PD.

Any mommies can recommend me a good PD?

Those from Mount E? Pacific healthcare? Or any hospital?

My boy seems to have breathing difficulties since birth but went for checks at clinics and the GP says his lungs are clear and that he is all well.

Then my boy can't sleep on his back only can do so on his tummy. Sometimes he can sleep better on his back when elevated (my pillows) but he's so young I don't think sleeping on my pillow will do him good as in bone structure?

Maybe his lungs is ok but problem might be his nose? Just thought to see a specialist to have a thorough check..

My boy will make those lack of oxygen sounds whenever I feed him, bottlefeed or breastfeed also same.

I'm also quite worried but maybe I'm just paranoid la being a first time mum. This is because my mil was diagnosed with nose cancer 20 years ago...and since cancer is hereditary.... I'm just worried. But better to check my boy right?

Thanks all!!! :)

My baby was about 4-5mths old, despite seeing 2 other PDs and given medication, my baby was still wheezing after he finish his course of medication.

I was refereed to Dr Terrence Tan at Mt Alvernia by a GP. I found him to be v friendly and approaching. The very moment I walked into his clinic, he stretched out his arms to carry my baby. Strangely, my usually clingy baby was comfortable in Dr Tans arms.

He examined my baby and diagnosed my baby as having "GERD", and not any chronic cough or wheezing I was so worried about. He briefly explained what GERD was and wrote on a piece of paper for me to goggle more on the symptom, if I needed to.

I just needed assurance that my baby was well, so I could stop the medication. Poor baby was on almost a month of medication for something he did not have!

I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Tan to anyone who is concern about their babies respiratory system.

Thanks mommy! :)

Another good PD is Dr Yong at Thomson Children Clinic. She is highly experience, in fact, I was her patient when I was little... lol
She is semi retired thus she is not always in her clinic, u have to call her to check her schedule.
Both her front desk nurses are friendly and know the medication v well. There have been instances where the doc is not in and I consulted the nurses for advice.
