My No 3 EDD will be next ye Apr. I use to deliver my No.1 & 2 at KKH. But after deliver my No. 2, i decide to change to deliver at SGH instead. Mine was subsidy type not private. Keen to share your experience?
To deliver at KKH or SGH better?

Im currently under dr chua from sgh, I also would like to know mommy 's delivery experience under private at sgh, thks.
Delivered my first in SGH, second in NUH. Both are very good hospitals. For both, I was B2 all the way until thr final appt, switched to B1.
Things to note:
1. SGH has a long history of maternity services, so it is very professional
2. BUT SGH does not have pediatric services. So if the nb needs a baby specialist, will need to transfer out.
3. NUH has excellent pediatric service.

May I know if SGH do not have pediatric services, which doctor(s) will be accessing baby while still in ward? No specialist means no specialist fees chargeable too right?
Sounds good to me as I paid a lot for pediatric specialist fee (in my own opinion), because I was staying in KKH A1 ward. The pediatric only saw us for 1 minute. It was a super quick one as my baby was healthy and has no problem at all. So I felt quite expensive to pay so much for that short attention.

I personally feel such expenses shouldn't be stinged on. Babies might look fine to laymen and only a PD is trained on what to look out.
Anyway SGH has a paediatric department, the last poster is mistaken. How could it not have a paediatric if it has NICU?!
