Hey everyone!

First of all, I am new in Singapore. Moved in a few months back and unfortunately it seems like my reoccurring yeast infection problem moved in with me...

I wanted to ask how can I get an appointment to see a gynecologist? I don't understand how the medical system in Singapore works..
What are the costs of a basic check and treatment? Where should I go and what should I do? I am a little overwhelmed and really confused by the info I get from google, would be very grateful for any real information provided by real people :)

By the way, I only have basic insurance that covers serious things like hospitalisation...

Thank you so much for your help!!! <3

Yes.
I had a very bad and embarrassing experience in the pharmacy when I tried to buy over the counter medicine, I don't want to go through it again if I need more. Also I want to be on the safe side if and when it comes back... :(

Welcome to Singapore. If you or your husband is working in Singapore, your company's health insurance is very likely to cover costs for outpatient and specialist care. It is best to confirm as they will also have different policy.

If you are on your own, and being a foreigner, costs is about the same either you goto a private gynae clinic or one of the restructured hospitals. Private gynae will still be slightly more expensive, but there are many good ones at Gleneagles Hospital, Thomson Medical, Mount Elizabeth Hospital, etc. When in doubt, KK Women and Children Hospital is often a good choice and it has many specialists. You can call in to make an appointment. First consultation is likely to set you back from $150 to $300, depending on the type of test, medication, doctor, etc. Hope this helps.
