Hello friends,

I' am 27 year old and EDD is 05/2016. I' am in my 13th week now and completed the Down Syndrome test (OSCAR).

Unfortunately my Trisome 21 had a negative result.

I have been advised to take Prenatal Harmony test now.

We are very worried now.

Please share your experience or probability to have a good result after taking Prenatal Harmony test.

Hi there, this message may came a little late for u.

I am 33 this yr and was expecting my #2. in May where i was about 13/14 weeks preg, gynae told me i was high risk for t21 after my oscar.

Hubby and i thought for almost 3 weeks before we decided to take the harmony test.

It costs us $1,300 for it. Done at thomson medical (drawing about 3/4 tubes of blood). Then the blood samples were sent to US for lab test.

After nearly 14 days, gynae called me with good news that baby is fine & i even get to know the gender!

Dont worry so much..

Alternatively u may want to seek 2nd opinion by doing a detailed ultrascan at Candem (or Cadem) where i heard a doc there specialises in such scans to give u a more accurate diagnosis..

Hi mummydt,

Thanks for sharing your experience.

I got the Harmony test results 2 weeks back and everything is normal.

OSCAR gave a fake positive result.

I hope to enjoy the rest of my pregnancy period and deliver a healthy baby.

May I know if OSCAR gave a fake positive when you delivered your #1?

Hi Dudemandeepak,
Don't know if I am too late now. Don't be too discouraged by OSCAR because it is not as accurate as Harmony. It is always recommended to take Harmony instead of OSCAR cos it is not as invasive and it is more accurate. Just keep your spirits up and thoughts positive and baby will feel it!

However, it is always good to take precaution. Wonder if you heard of prenatal plans before that covers your pregnancy? Down's syndrome is included in coverage. PM me if you need more information ya.
