Mummies,
I have delivered my twins on 1 Feb. Girl weighs 2.7kg and boy is 2.2kg, they had to spend 2 nights in special care but by the time I was discharged, both were able to go home with me.
Now, my waking hours are spent constantly latching. Seems like by the time I finsih with one twin, its time for the other one. Sometimes latching one and the other is crying as well, very distracting...how do you girls manage this kind of situation? Just let the other one cry and wait? Get someone to carry and sooth the crying twin?
I really don't know how I am going to cope when CL leaves. I don't trust the maid the handle babies but I think I would have to enlist her help sometimes, no choice.
At night, I am supplementing with FM, CL will feed one twin while I latch the other and then alternate for next feed. This is so I get some decent pockets of sleep in between.
By the way, at 2 weeks, sometimes my twins can down 60ml of FM - is that too much?
nann,
Could your boy suffer from reflux? My #1 used to have it when he was younger. Drinking lesser and lesser milk, cries after drinkg a little and refuse to drink anymore. PD said he had reflux.
He was prescribed some medication but I found them not too helpful. They have to sleep at an incline angle, it helps them to keep the milk down.
Maybe you want to bring him to PD and describe symptoms to him?
L,
How old are your twins now? What's your daytime routine like? Can share?
You have a helper too right? Do you use her to help you with babies or you manage on your own?
