Sue: don't be too hard on yourself. I think we are all guilty of feeling that way sometimes. You can't prevent every little accident or illness just be there to hold their hand and give them encouragement. About 2 mths ago my elder son came down with fits and had to be taken to hospital...

Krex there is something called the 'flip toilet trainer seat' it works in a similar way to the adult/child toilet seat cover except in this case the child seat is attached to the adult seat without you having to change the original adult seat. The child seat is flat so the cover still works...

Krex D is the same too. Refuses to use the toilet or the potty. I think his is emotional attachment as he gets very distressed if I mentioned potty to him. Quite frustrating at times as he used to go on the potty every morning and evening but after one month holiday in S'pore we're back to...

This video blog is truly inspirational - a daddy cooking for his son. There is a recipe on beef stew plus many other recipes. It's BLW though. http://www.mydaddycooks.com/

wanderleibe I don't really know how much J is drinking as he latches most of the time. I've stopped giving him milk bottles since he was 6 mths as he rejects them so if I give him ebm it's in a cup or in a straw container volumes are therefore very much a rough estimation. But 180ml x 3 at this...

Wanderleibe in addition to the black pepper I usually add a little nutmeg and a cinnamon stick. Not so sure if that makes the taste more ang moh but it gives quite a nice aroma. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] I usually buy beef all cut up so have to fry to...

Wanderleibe I've used stew cuts and even non stewing beef cuts for beef stew and they always turn out nice and tender for the kids. This is what I do for stew: Pan fry the beef with onions, crushed garlic and coarse black pepper until beef is brown. Then add the stock and vegetables. Take off...

wanderleibe normally I use single cream but the other day I tried using oat cream (some new product I came across) when making fish pie and it was really nice. Don't know if you can get the oat cream in Sg but I know you can get the Oat milk (Oatley brand) saw it at Cold Storage in Great World...

Pasta: you can also do lasagna! I did a vegetarian version a couple of weeks ago and the kids loved it. Ha! Ha! I didn't mean to make lasagna except that after cooking my pasta I thought that it tasted mouldy! Never thought that those dried pasta can become mouldy. Hey mummies with toddlers...

Lucasmummy have you considered Rochester House? Saw photos of a friend of mine who had her son's birthday there. Looks like a very nice place for children's party. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Sheryl I have a toddler seat in each toilet and a potty in the living room. Also have a portable potty for emergencies. With my #1 I skipped the potty and went straight to a toilet seat as he was started when he was much older. I'm using both with J. Mainly the toddler seat though as I'm lazy to...
