Rains/Jess, Those so-called interesting phrases to spice up compo should relate to the pic and not dumped in just to get marks. I read some good compo before and they do not have fantastic phrases, just really good plot and grammar.

Forever friends, My gal doesn't like hanyu pinyin, bcos she feels that it's not Chinese but yet not phonics. I told her it will help her to find characters, which is why it is impt to learn. Electronic dict uses hanyu pinyin to find characters so she has to master it during the 6 weeks. Poor girl.

Ocean, Daughter's jab will be given after CNY. Spelling for Term 1 are 10 words...the whole spelling booklet from Term 1 to 4 are given...but I don't want to stress myself. Your gal's spelling is tough. As for CL spelling, this Wed is first one. No chinese character, only hanyu...

Jess, Your son's school very ON. Asked my boy what he has done in school and he told me, one piece of situational writing...I think it's diary.

Daughter received lots of attention when she wears her school uniform...she doesn't look like a P1 at all. But she eats and sleeps well...so I don't bother. She is really pint size.

Jess, Situational writing ? OMG, your son already done 3 ? Understand students have to write 2 pieces during SA1...choose 1 continuous or picture compo and write a situational compo.
