Me! Did my FET earlier this month....

How's it so far?
Trying not to read too much into symptoms cos loaded with lotsa oral meds, gel injection and progesterone jabs (twice weekly). Feels like waiting for English literature results (can go either way with surprises!).

IVF is not recommended if Body Mass Index (BMI) is more than 30 or less than 19 as the chance of success is significantly lower with higher risks.
I supposed they won’t necessarily reject but will recommend to reduce the bmi to avoid any complications.
When is your beta blood test? The wait can be really annoying but I guess all good news have to wait?
It's tough to not read into all those little signs and googling to death all the tiny sensations, but oddly, I feel very very normal today on d5.

Anyone knows how long is the wait for IVF at KKH after 1st appoinment with the gynae (Prof Sadhana or Dr Jessie)? Am planning to switch to KKH from NUH as the earliest date to start IVF at NUH is currently Oct 22. Can't wait that long as my amh is low and IUI is not an option.

From what I know, the earliest slot for IVF is in Jun/July for KKH.

Hi All,
Just for sharing... I just started my FET earlier this month with KKH, and did my grade B egg transfer a few days ago. Am now currently waiting for my blood test scheduled after CNY.
Currently im on crinone progesterone gel inserts twice daily as a support medication. Not too sure about the side effects of the crinone gel, but i developed very very dry skin (almost eczema-like) on my face and hands. Hopefully it doesn't worsen

Good luck to you too! I called the hosp to check, so far they don't have any restrictions on products used on the face and hands as it's superficial... so it's good to spam loads of intensive moisturiser. Haha
I had similar situation before and I applied the cream... n it worked after a few days... now... it didn't improve but as least it doesn't worsen! PM me if you find any cream that works for u!

When is ur beta blood test? How was it? What kinda symptoms did u have during the TWW?

My blood test is tomorrow! No real symptoms so far apart from the period-like cramps that I've been having since ET. Also started spotting yesterday and got those gunky crinone discharge (eewl tmi) so I'm not very optimistic.

Not sure if different clinics has diff protocol..but my gynae had no such restrictions. My BMI is definitely off the charts but my 1st IVF attempt was successful with twins. So dont give up

Apologies for the long post, but would like to share some light hearted news with you ladies, I got my HCG blood test results today, and I was tested positive!!
Please keep the spirits up in your ivf journey... Even a Grade B embryo can end with a positive result
Hubs and I were with KKH and was under Doc Wong. I happened to be assigned to her and took her recommendation to start this journey. I have not read about her in this blog, but my experience with her has been nothing but positive. From the IVF medication, to the Egg Retrieval and also eventually my FET. We got a positive result on our first try. Really appreciate Doc Wong.
Next, let me share with you on my TWW experience:
I had some period-like cramps, at weird spots of my lower belly. Constantly bloated and full of gas (but unable to burp). Had some mild discharge from crinone gel. I did not do a home pregnancy test until i gotten my results from KKH.
With this result, I have been discharged from KKIVF. Sending you ladies all the best wishes in your journey!

Thanks!! I wouldn't say I took special care, but i did go for acupuncture for back ache, and the Chinese sinseh she also did some spots on my tummy for the womb. I'm not sure if this ultimately increased my chances but this is the only thing I did that is fertility related.
As for diet wise, i drank less cold drinks and occasionally some red dates water. The only supplement i took was the folic acid prescribed by KKH.
I also feel that try to keep stress level down as much as possible by doing the things you like.... however, we all know how stressful undergoing IVF/FET is like... especially with work and time commitments.... try not to think too much but just take 1 appointment at a time

Thank you for sharing! I just collected my first set of injections today. Saw some ladies mentioned eating more eggs, avocadoes and pomegranate juice will help, so will be doing that and at the same time, just like what you said - will not think too much and take everything one step at a time. Hoping this would be enough! *fingers crossed*

I did my 3rd IVF last year May 2021. I had just given birth Jan 2022. I am returning red eggs to 3 location coming sun 20th Feb afternoon to 1) toa payoh shuang lin shi 2) paya lebar koo chye temple at arumugan. 3) the tong ka temple at alexander next to a teresa church. I cannot rmb the name.
I did took red eggs offering before I went for IVF from zhu sheng niang niang... I was so desparate for a kid. Now I like to pass down this gesture.. I now it is silly but I just wanna share.

Hello all I need some thoughts in this. I’ve been having gastric/ibs issue for a month and didn’t resolve and recently saw a specialist and he gave me a month long medicine till now is full feel bloated and unwell. My ivf is in feb and today my period just came. Shd I proceed with ivf? The next available one if I postpone is in July already and I can only do in aug or sept due to work priorities. How? In terms of age I’m already at mid 30s I’m worried of the time. Should I just do the ivf and feel the uncomfort? Will it affect in my egg quality for all the medicine I took? I stopped my supplement etc due to this issue. What should I do? I still have a frozen grade C embryo but chance are Low and based on my record I might need more embryo to increase chances. I had 2 natural miscarriages before which shows the embryo quality is not good.

Hi, i went zhou yu ming at amk to adjust my uterus so that good blood circulation to my uterus will improve my ivf. On the day of egg tft, I also went zhou yu ming tcm to do acupuncture in the hope my uterus got good blood circulation and the lining can be thickened to hold the eggs.. good luck to a rabbit bbI am planning to start ivf this year. I am 39 year old when i did my ivf. I gave birth at age 40 yr old this jan 2022. Hope age is not a factor u sld be worry... i did tcm with zhou yu ming to improve my uterus blood circulation and to thicken my lining so that implantation can be success. I also take q10 before egg extraction. I got 2 b grade and 2 c grade . Infact my c grade successfully conceived a bb. Not all gd grade can conceived a bb.

I'm on crinone gel, progesterone jabs (twice a week), Utrogestan pill and Progynova. my doc start me on progynova when my new cycle started. the rest all after FET.

I started seeing Dr Roland Chieng in Feb'22, was previously with Dr Ann Tan (1 successful FET but mc) then went on to Dr Kelly Loi ( failed FET, no infinity with her, so decided to move on).
Im 42 this year. But so far no issue with eggs collection and quality, etc. based on all test, etc. despite my age.
BUT on my 1st visit to Dr Chieng, he proposed an option of have egg donor, which i told him upfront we will not consider this option, strangely he still insist on talking about this option. On top of that, he proposed to investigate if my previous mc was due to chromosome and also reviewing my previous embryo(with Virtus).
2nd visit, test came back with all good results. he was surprised by my egg quality and all given my age. BUT BUT BUT
he still went on to talk about egg donor, asking me to consider getting from Malaysia before they clamp down?!
i really had good impression of him overall but the fact that i told him upfront each visit NO EGG DONOR. he still insist on going on and talk about it, i find that a big turn off. despite knowing there are no issues with my egg?@!$%
not sure if anyone encountered that with him???

Hi Ayumi, I do have friends who swear by Dr Roland Chieng - one good friend has a pair of twin boys under him and another (in her 40s) has a boy coming to 6 months. Perhaps you can emphasize that you do not and will never want to consider egg donors. if it continues, perhaps it could mean there is no chemistry between the both of you. Finding a doc whom you are very comfortable with is never easy and yes, it requires a certain level of chemistry so that both thoughts are aligned and confidence of attaining +ve is boosted.
If you are really thinking of changing, you may want to consider Tan Heng Hao from Alpha. He was previously from KKH and is said to have magic hands. I BFPed under him when he was with KKH.

Hello everyone, I’m currently 7DP5DT and going crazy in my 2WW…
This is my 5th cycle of IVF
First 3 was with KKH many years back, all failed
4th was with Sincere last year, never even got to transfer due to issues with egg quality and sperm quality..
We were about to give up and go for adoption then came upon the option of donor eggs, did a leap of faith, went ahead and here I am in the dreaded 2WW..
No symptoms to talk about, feeling normal except for crazy backache.. How to survive another week to BT! Gosh…… =|

Hihi, roughly how long is a natural FET cycle from the first scan to the beta hcg? I trying to plan my work schedule around it.. such a headache..
Hi babe, I’m with Dr Chieng as well and my opinion of him is that he is very straight forward and always ready to discuss. Perhaps you can ask him why he keeps bringing up donor eggs.. There could be other aspects besides egg quality he is concerned about. I have had 2 friends that succeeded under him as well and Virtus is awesome. But more importantly is your trust and comfort level with him and if after all these you still find it frustrating then may be best to switch doctor.. =)Hi all
