Inspiring, inclusive, and illuminating. This March, watch a concert like no other, visit a festival village to promote inclusiveness, and attend a conference to share knowledge. These are what you can look forward to at the inaugural festival of True Colours: The Asia Pacific Celebration of Artistes with Disabilities

1. MULTIMEDIA INDOOR CONCERT

Held over three nights at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, this is a first-of-its-kind concert featuring singers, and dancers from the Asia Pacific, together with guest performers from Canada, the UK, and US, and Chile.

The concert will “celebrate exceptional talent in a way that has never been done before” — Festival Director Audrey Perera

Look out for performers like Canadian violinist Adrain Anantawan, crooner Tony Dee from Australia (who was the star of the 2016 Rio Olympics trailer We’re The Superhumans), Drake Music Scotland’s Digital Orchestra, Alienette Coldfire from the Philippines (who was second runner-up in France’s Got Talent 2016), and multinational dance crew ILL-Abilities.

There’ll also be specially commissioned works – one by contemporary inclusive dance troupe DAZZLE (Japan, see above), one by wheelchair dancer Rodney Bell (New Zealand), and a collaborative performance by Very Special Theatrics (Singapore) and No Strings Attached Theatre of Disability (Australia).
