Boy, am I jealous! The kids’ furniture scene here in Singapore has progressed massively since I was a child. How I wish I could be one all over again just to be able to use some of the uber cool furniture being offered by style-conscious retailers here. Not too sure what I’m talking about? Well, if you have been on the prowl for spanking new furniture for your baby’s nursery or tween’s room, start taking notes. Once you are done with this list, you will be wanting to pop out for a visit to one (or more) of these 13 stores which sell stylish furniture and decor for little people!
1. Casa Kidi
Casa Kidi sources out some of the world’s most reputable brands in children’s furnishings and puts them all under one roof. If you are looking to give your child a brand new bedroom, this is the store for you. Their spacious 25,000 square feet showroom showcases over one hundred bedroom sets for little ones! We think it’s safe to conclude that you are going to be spoilt for choice here.
And have we mentioned that Casa Kidi has got an interactive online software that lets you select and preview colours and designs online? You will be able to create a virtual bedroom design from scratch! Once you are done with that, head down to their showroom to confirm your selections in person.
What we love: The car-shaped bed frames (above) from the Speedy Series by Çilek are surely every little boy’s (and some little girls’) dream! Just look at it – it’s super sleek, stylish and most definitely doesn’t look kiddish at all! I wouldn’t mind getting a good night’s rest in this one (judge not)!

What we love: IKEA has always been finding ways to live big in small spaces. Given that most of us are HDB flat dwellers, we totally approve of their mission to expand small living areas with their creative products. We love that their children’s range – from mattresses to toy storage baskets – can easily complement one another, like in this playroom (above). Lucky kid!

Judging by the stylish range of furniture available at her shop, we think she’s doing a fantastic job. From bean bags and chairs to storage bins and height charts, there’s nothing you won’t be able to find at Piccolo House. Get those shopping lists ready!
What we love: The Mr Bear Storage Stool (above) is not only cute but space-saving and dual functional as well! It’s a lovely stool for kids to perch on and a useful home for toys and any other stuff that needs to be put away.

If there’s one thing we can’t beat the Scandinavians at, it has got to be furniture design. Danish Design Co is the third and final store on this list of Scandinavian origin. We also love how child-friendly these brands are! At Danish Design Co, you will find sleek and elegant kids furniture that you could have only dreamed about till date. This store offers furniture of supreme quality for babies, kids and tweens.
What we love: The cots from their Wood Collection (above) have lowered end boards and a raised lying surface thus allowing a more ergonomic and closer contact between parent and baby. It also comes with two height settings, a short grid side and three removable bars. This means it can be converted into a bed once baby grows up. How’s that for practicality and cost-efficiency?
