There’s always something fresh and fun to see, do, and eat on our little red dot. Take in the sights and sounds, traditions and meaning of the Festival of Lights at the Indian Heritage Centre. Go on Friday evening rides with Little India Trishaw Trails to soak in the festive atmosphere of the precinct. On weekends, embark on a puzzle hunt and uncover the lost relic of Little India. Other exciting drop-in activities range from rangoli and kolam workshops to crafting paper garlands and lamps.

New Kids on the Singapore Zoo Block

Have you heard? It’s truly Children’s Day at the zoo. Besides Singapore’s now-famous panda baby at the River Safari, the Singapore Zoo welcomes two new kids to its fold. They took a 22-hour interstate road journey and a seven-day sea voyage to get here! Meet Adhil and Balaji, Rothschild’s giraffes who came all the way from India’s Mysuru Zoo. You can now visit the two young lanky boys in their new home at the Wild Africa zone.

Tulipmania & Gardening Workshops

After a two-year hiatus, Tulipmania is back at the Flower Dome! Follow in the footsteps of Kazakh nomads and trace the origins of wild tulips in the Central Asian steppes. Amid the vibrant blooms, discover a traditional yurt handmade by Kazakh craftsmen, complete with felt textiles and a crackling fire. Create your own preserved flower box arrangement with Botany Studio while you’re there. This year’s Singapore Garden Festival Hort Show offers a hybrid programme of virtual and physical activities. Besides a series of online talks and workshops, you can shop all things plants at the e-marketplace. To marvel at on-site horticultural displays, visit the Singapore Botanical Gardens (SBG) and Jurong Lake Gardens (JLG). Other highlights you shouldn’t miss include SBG Heritage Festival and Bazaar in the Garden at JLG.

ACM Adventures: A Royal Time this October

LEGO’s Rebuild the World campaign celebrates children as the masters of creative problem-solving. Goodman Arts Centre is collaborating with Cultivate Central to present a socially driven community farm and art project.
