Support a Community Club Theatrette

Meet a young farm boy who mixes up a marvellous new concoction for his grandma and watch good things happen after that! This performance of George’s Marvellous Medicine by Roald Dahl, adapted for stage by The Players Theatre, is suitable for children aged three years and above. Children can find out more about the story and its staging during the Q&A session after the show.

Run For Charity

Metta is an organisation which provides welfare services for the community. This holiday, you can run for and with them to raise funds for the needy of all races and religions. Parent and child teams can join the 1.5 km fun morning run along East Coast Park, enjoy playing at game stations along the route, and followed at the finish point carnival as well!

Walk for our children 2015

Walk For Children as a Family

Walk for Our Children is the Singapore Children’s Society’s annual walk to raise funds for needy children, youth, and families in Singapore. This year, the Society teams up with KidZania Singapore (which is targeted to open by end 2015) for a fun-filled SG50-flavored event. Bring the family on a 3 km walk by the beach, starting from KidZania Singapore all the way to the carnival grounds opposite Sentosa’s Beach Station carpark. There will be food, games stalls, and stage performances as well!

When Sunday 6 September 2015, 8.30 am – 2.30 pm. Registration is open right up to the event day itself.

Despicable Dinosaur Science Workshop

Children aged six to 10 years can go on a blast to the past to learn about dinosaurs such as T-rex, flying predators, ferocious sea creatures, and how mankind lived during the prehistoric age. This holiday workshop, which mixes science with art, will involve activities such as dinosaur making, cave drawings and carvings, and fun brainy challenges.

Get Wacky with Dr. Seuss

Do you have a Dr Seuss fan aged three years and above? Bring him or her to Da Little School’s wacky week of Dr Seuss fun! At this holiday workshop they’ll learn tongue-twisters, play at dressing-up, cook green eggs and ham, make a photo journal and a wacky hat, and even get to watch a performance of Dr Seuss classic The Cat In The Hat by the Singapore Repertory Theatre! Suitable for all Dr Seuss fans aged 3 years and above.

Maths at the Gardens

At the Fun with Math & Plants! guided tour, children from K1 to P2 levels will have fun learning basic Math concepts through colours, shapes, sizes, and numbers found in plant parts. There’s also a Young Mathematician of the Gardens session for older children from P3 to P6 levels.

Going Batty about Bats

Part of the National Parks Board’s Celebrating Wildlife Series, this biodiversity investigative workshop on Our Fabulous Furry Flying Friends! will introduce children to the importance of bats in the ecosystem. Children will also make bat craft and go on a guided tour to look for bat roosts and bat food. Suitable for children from K1 to P6 levels.

We’re sure kids who enjoy games like Minecraft will be excited about the workshop that teaches them how to create stories for video games. Best for for 9 to 12 year olds though. At this bite-sized Creative Confidence workshop by Happiness Makers, children learn to tackle problem solving from different angles, to take risks, and to cope with failures better. Have an Artistic Adventure

At Rush Me Not Art Studio, children are engaged in art at a leisurely pace. One of the eight workshops offered this holiday is the Wonderland Whale workshop, which is inspired by Taiwanese illustrator Jimmy Liao’s works. As part of the Esplanade’s da:ns festival, the Footwork sessions offer parents and children a chance to learn groovy dance moves and have fun going through the steps together. Ignite their Talents

This workshop by Singapore Media Academy is designed for children from age six to 12 years to discover their creativity and potential in the performing arts. Go on an Outdoor Camp

MYMCA holds regular non-overnight outdoor activities aimed at building strong children, strong families and strong communities. Campers are divided into two age groups — four to seven years and eight to 12 years — to learn team building, enjoy fun and games, and develop survival skills such as setting up a tent, and cooking. Camp overnight on St John’s Island

Get close to nature with this overnight camp on St. John’s Island with Cicada Tree. There’ll be guided walks, an island-life workshop, and a slide show on the biodiversity of Singapore offshore islands. Mega Inflatable Beach Festival

Come to Sentosa, the State of Fun, this September holiday!
