I am very eager to conceive because I am now 32, my menses is very irregular also, can someone recommend a good doctor? What remedy they prescript usually? is ovulation pills effective? Anyone has experience? our latest sexual activity was 2 weeks ++ ago, now menses is very late, but my pregnancy test is still negative, should I wait a little bit longer?

I am very eager to conceive, can any experienced mummies share experience please?

Have u tried using ovulation test kits? I have three gfs who tried to conceive for a while, not successful due to irrgular menses.

Eventually, they use ovulation kits and follow its use carefully and make out during the days the kit say they are ovulating. It works and they are now pregnant.

Hi there,
I know many cases when women got pregnant with Clomid.
So I decided to take it too.
I am getting ready to start Clomid 50mg today! (I got it on www.generic-meds-store.com )
Kinda nervous, yet excited.
Hope it will work on me too.
Good luck everyone!

Hi Jen,
If you have been actively trying for one year and more without success then you should visit a fertility Gynae for medical check up.
I would like to recommend Dr SF Loh from TMC. He's a fertility specialist. Maybe you and your hubby can visit him so that he can advise you. If you want his no, pls PM me.

I consulted Dr Roland Chieng at parkway east hosp. He is a fertility specialist. Been trying for a 2nd bb for 2 years n also had 2 miscarriages before. He checked and operated on me after finding out my uterus and ovaries had problems. I got pregnant half a year later after the ops done by him. Im now seeing him for my pregnancy now. Very nice and patient gynae but he is not cheap.

Hi,
maybe u like to contact Dr Peter Chew ( Glen Eagles) who is well know and even have articles on such issues on newspapers, magazines & seminars.

his contact: 6472 6828
Very experience & charges are reasonable.

Hi Jen chia,

Ive try to conceive too but i'm preg.. i still have some ovulation kit left wondering would u need? if yes i can post to you for FREE.
I understand how u feel and hope it brings u LUCK ^_^

Which religion are you? I hear a lot of successful cases after they pray to "zhu sheng niang niang".

Maybe you want to try?

Hi mummies, maybe you could try to consult Dr Aziz at kembangan plaza. So far my massage lady told me that many of her clients she would advise to see him for advise and successfully concieve. Gd luck!.

Clomid is to help promote to have more eggs. You really need to seek help from a professional to determine what is the best solution for your body. One way is to not stress yourself up too much. You might also want to try the basal temperature method.

Hi
I manage to conceive under Dr LC Foong from Gleneagle few years back, he's a fertility specialist. You may google about him and contact his clinic for appointment. Another good and popular one is Christopher Chen from Gleneagle too. He did IVF twice for my sis, both times successfully conceive, first with boy and 2nd times with a set of twin, one boy and one gal.

Hi jen_chia

I have irregular menses too and b4 trying to conceive, decided to consult gynae. Scanned and diagnosed with PCOS, gynae put me on 2 cycles of ovamit (clomid) and told us to BD every 2-3 days (which we did) haha.. Succeeded on 2nd cycle... I'm with Dr PK Tan at Nex.

At the same time i tried ovulation kit but somehow i feel that it's quite difficult as irregular menses so difficult to know when's the time to test...

Dear Jen, I'm also a patient with Dr Peter Chew based at Gleneagles. He's a fertility specialist and I switched to him after I had a miscarriage after 1 year of trying, and yet another year went by without any success. My then-gynae just told me that I'm fine and told me that she'll see me when I'm pregnant. I felt very helpless and decided then that it's time to see someone who can help. Dr Chew has been very patient and encouraging since I started seeing him in June. Do consider him and good luck to you!

I conceived both my #1 & #2 via ivf. My gynae is Dr Marianne Hendricks, she runs the same clinic (O&G) as Dr SF Loh in TMC. Her wait time is much shorter than Dr Loh. I would recommend her if you want to seek fertility treatment

Hi jen,

Saw your thread on trying to conceive.... Just thought i would share with you what my TCM taught me for TTC-ing and tiao yang body to get ready for conceiving... Many took her advice and strike...

The Below are my Advice from my TCM. But the last 3 points are what i read from internet sources about Men's fertility food.

1.Do Not take any more Cold Food/Drinks from now on.

2.NEVER NEVER take Tea/Liang Teh/Or any Cooling Stuff (in TCM term) When I say Cooling Food, I meant food such as Cucumber, White Cabbage, Bitter Gourd, Watermelon, Green Tea, Cooling Chinese Tea, Barley Water etc etc A Friend Share this List with me on cooling food and heaty food: http://www.benefits-of-honey.com/heaty.html

3.If you really have to Take Fruits such as Grapes/oranges/apples etc, Please make sure they are Not Cold. Best is to take more Durians/Jackfruits/Mangoes (Heaty Tropical fruits)

4.Get A TCM to “Tiaoyang” your Body. It works. Many look for TCM and got their rainbow Baby. Both Husbands and Wives need to See TCM. Its Mutual Effort.

5.Take Bazhen at least Once a Week. If you don’t know what is bazhen, you can ask around in medical halls, Bazhen is very important and Good for Ladies. It consist of 8 herbs that are essential for Women’s health. Go to Any Medical Hall, tell them you want Bazhen, they will give a Set of herbs for you. Just Throw the herbs into slow cooker and Boil for 2 – 3 hours. My TCM advised me to Add DOM one hour before Consumption. After adding DOM, let it boil for one hour before you drink. Just add half Cap of DOM will do (The Bottle Cap of DOM) But Do Not Take Ba Zhen during Menses. For Best effect, Take Ba Zhen within 7 days after menses ended.

6.Frequently drink Longan Red Date Tea. (Longan + Red Date Boil using Slow Cooker). My TCM advised me to take Everyday. But if you scared that it will be too heaty, do try drinking on alternate days. In My Longan Red date Tea, I added Wolfberries and Ginger too. Ginger help to dispel the wind in our body.

7.During Menses days, Change above Drink from Longan to using Black Sugar (Black Sugar + Red Dates boil using Slow Cooker). Add Ginger to this drink.

8.Don’t Drink Fresh Milk/Yogurt/Soyabean. But you can Drink Formula Milk Powder.

9.Exercise Frequently But Only Do Brisk Walking during Menses Period if you intend to TTC. Exercising help to smoothen the “Qi” & Blood flow in your Body. Get More Morning Sun for your Body is the most important Part.

10.If you are able to take DOM, take DOM every night after Dinner (Half Cap will do). If you can’t take, then don’t take. Do Not Take DOM during Menses.

11.Sleep Early !!! This is very Important… Sleeping Late Disrupt your Qi and Blood flow, which hinders your TTC process too. Please try to sleep early. Wear Socks when you sleep.

12.Zinc and Selenium are Very Important for Fertility for Both Women and Men. Do Take more Natural Food with Zinc and Selenium nutrients.

13.For the Hubbies, Let them Take Folic Acid too during TTC. Folic Acid brings Motility to the Sperms.

14.Sometimes, Fertility issue lies with the Men. So Let your hubbies Eat more Walnuts, Tomatoes, Asparagus. These Are fertility food, Walnuts are Especially

Our Doctor is also Dr Marianne Hendricks.

Hi Jen,

You may try to visit the TCM doctor at Marine Parade. Heard he has been there for many many years and alot of people (old & young) have been visiting him. He can "tiao" your body/health including irregular menses by prescribing you medicine to eat which you have to boil, like twice a month, before or after menses.

Heard that he is good also in helping both partners to "conceive" and results are proven within short period of time. Many couples who are not able to conceive went to see him and results are proven after few visits.

Pricing/fees are affordable, no consultation fees except that you will pay for the medicine/herbs that he prescribe you to boil and drink. Think it's below $50 for the herbs.

You can try. Exact address I am unsure, but I think it's located at Blk 83/84 Marine Parade. Just opposite the Sing Post Office.
