How to encourage your toddler's patience and motor development?

Hi mommies,

I am a mother of a coming 30 months old who is good in jumping, running, squatting therefore I thought he was ok in motor developments until recently when I introduced puzzles to him then notice some difficulties with him listening to my instructions and also fixing the right puzzle together then just push the puzzle to me wanting me to help. He is ok when we told him to fetch something to us, change bedsheets, swim by himself with a life jacket etc... And I believed he has been to dependant to us already. Hence would appreciate advises how to improve on his understanding and listening of instructions and also motor developments. Best if he can be independent by himself. He is very enthu in learning new words though and will share with us what he has been recently learning.

Hope to hear from y'all..

He might be a little frustrated by the fine motor skills needed for the puzzles. You could find lots of wonderful activities for fine motor development on Pinterest. That is where I get a lot of activities from for fine motor development. http://www.pinterest.com/search/?q=fine+motor+skills

I follow Doman Mom's blog and she put a nice tutorial together for teaching a young child how to do a puzzle. http://domanmom.com/2013/06/how-to-teach-your-little-toddler-to-do-jigsaw-puzzles-ages-1-2-years/

Hope that helps. :)
