I also lose weight during pregnancy and this frightens my gynae. She insists I switch to a western diet which is high in carbo if I cannot put on weight. I eat normally like u-3 main meals a day and snack. But my snacks are mainly on fruits and plain crackers/bread during breaks. Cannot put on much weight.
So i stimulate my appetite with fruits before meals. I eat something sour and high in vit-C like plums, green kiwi, strawberries before my meals coz I dun feel hungary esp dinner. It works better but my gynae is not satisfied with my weight gain of 10kg till now which is my final trimester. She told me my baby will weight less than an average baby of 3 kg.
Do eat something which stimulates your appetite. Your baby and you will need the nutrients for growth and energy. Good luck!
