We paid about 3K plus upfront. Rest was using cda. Also we got a free sterilizer that's worth a few hundred dollars and other freebies. I remembered them having many types of price packages though. Can't remember why we chose that particular plan but I think overall it's quite worth it since...
I stored mine with cordlife. They're like the leader in the market. So it was quite an easy choice for me and my hubby. I actually signed up during one of the baby fairs. And there's an upcoming one this month! So you can go and talk to their people to know more!
I signed up with Cordlife for my first child! There's an upcoming baby fair this weekend. I think it's better if you go talk to them directly to know more
just FYI, my cousin and i stored our children's cord blood with cordlife also.
my niece was diagnosed with thalassemia minor inherited from her father. they continued storing because there is no negative impact on her life and her future. i think if you ask other banks about storing a child...
i find it (placenta encapsulation) really gross too. it feels like i am eating myself :p
IMO, cord blood banking is worth investing, to me, it is like a biological insurance and assurance that my baby and family are protected. I have friends who have cancer/ blood disorder (whether they have...
oh dear :( being nauseous is pretty common, for me, it lasted till about week 11. but my mood swing was at the peak for me at week 9. thankfully, with hubby's support, manage to get over it. i hope you will get better soon, hang in there!
I think it's okay:) i had it quite badly during 1st trimester, i had terrible mood swings. it was pretty scary because i am usually quite calm and wont freak out so easily.
True true. i forgot to add, he is married with 2 kids! so i find it really sweet and heartwarming. hopefully, when i grow up, i will be sensible enough to keep my hands off :)
i heard many 'horror' stories about that. it will be sad to know i might be abandoned by my lo when grow up. you know any tips to prevent sons from turning their backs on their parents. I read some parenting articles, cant remember which one, i think it is important to maintain a close...
i am choosing to store cos i prefer to decide when i can use it for my lo or family. and it is true that SCBB doesnt notify parents when it will be used/ whether it will be discarded :( this kind of uncertainty is one of my pet peeves :(
I agree with you - all the cord blood to be used is ideal for a successful treatment. and they are stored in 2 different facilities, in my pov, it may be difficult to monitor and respond closely despite the systems implemented.
are you considering to store as well??
i have done some research on my own, and i find cordlife reputable. one of the qualities that strike me is that cordlife is the first company in Sg, which means to say more experience and more equipped. they have their own storing facilities, means my...
i think it should be okay, i guess, cos it's not like you consume a lot. I dont know about others, but i would take bites of sour plum and have a sniff of lemongrass to reduce my discomfort :)
