2WW - for those TTC-ing

Just to share my TTC journey.

Have been trying since July this year. After reading a previous poster on this forum on her experience with Fertile CM, I also purchased it from iherb.

It is said to improve the quality of your egg white cervical mucus. I do not have much cervical mucus and even when I'm wet, the cervical mucus is not a lot.

After eating it for 1 month during my ovulation period, and drinking raspberry tea, I'm pregnant. :) not sure how much is attributed to Fertile CM though. There are quite good reviews on Amazon so you can take a look. I was also taking Rainbow Light prenatals pettite during my TTC journey.

I was previously using KY jelly as lubricant ...but read some reviews that it kills sperms, so went to buy Preseed lubricant instead. However, I got my BFP before I could open the Preseed.

Hi i am going for my first accupunture today at Dr Zou AMK. Can I check is the process painful and will the needle be inserted alot in or only a little? Thanks hope to hear from you all soon cause i am quite nervous of the session.

Selling a brand new sealed bottle of Rainbow light Prenatal Petite Mini-Tablet (180 mini tablets) at $40. Expires April 2019.

I purchased an extra bottle from iherb when I was trying to conceive, but now I'm using the prenatals given by my gynea.

Just wondering if I'm TTC.. can I still continue with my usual routine of running ? I run about 4 to 6km about 2 to 3 times per week and sometimes cardio lessons at the gym.. stupid question I know but ya.. just wanted to make sure I'm not doing stupid things..

Cheers!

Hi, I don't think there is a need to drastically change your lifestyle.

But during 2WW I think it's better to slow down and take it easy. I just had IVF done and in 2WW now, their instructions to me is no strenuous exercise. Walking / light exercise is allowed. I think maybe I'm IVF patient so it's more strict but no harm following for th sake of baby. :)

Oh ya, my Dr also say NO swimming, sauna, jacuzzi.. but then I'm not sure if that's only relevant to IVF patients.

These are actually standard instructions for IVF patients in NUH. They print out on a form for us. :D

I think for normal pregnancy maybe not so strict. But generally I've heard that sauna/hot baths are no-no for 2ww.

Thanks! Pressing on! You too.. baby dust to us all!

currently in the 3WW already. Tested 3 times this week on separate days still BFN, i have regular menses and never come so far to CD35 and still no AF. I cant wait anymore, went to get a blood test done just now waiting for results out tomorrow.
I am not stressed or anything and I don't understand why is my AF still not coming. worried is this an ectopic pregnancy already, my mind going crazy.

Hi all! I am pretty new to this forum. Just got married in Nov and am trying to conceive. Was previously on birth control pills. Just stopped the last pack in Nov and had withdrawal bleed end Nov. Until now, I still do not seem to have my period yet. May I check if anyone has experienced this? (i.e. how long it took for u to start having your period after u stopped BC?) I was previously on Yasmine for ard 2 to 3 years....

Hello, I am new to this thread. I just went to see a doctor at Raffles Hospital for fertility check. I was shocked by the bill I received for today's consultation and also forthcoming prices that they quoted. It seems to be around $2000 in total if I do all of this. Is it normal? Here is some breakdown

- Initial consultation $180
- Ultrasound $164
- Pap test $64
- test to detect Chlamydia infection $193
This is something I already paid today.

- Blood test: Autoimmune $600+
- Blood test: Hormone $157
- Blood test: Thyroid <$100
- Blood test: Prolactin <$100
- X-ray to check shape of to the uterus and fallopian tubes $300+
These will be coming later when next period comes.

I went there because they posted on their website about fertility checking at $333, so I was expecting it would be within $1000 even adding other options. Please let me know your experience and thoughts!!

This sounds quite ridiculous! I have been to Paul Tseng and Irene Chua for checkups, Paul Tseng did a trans-v scan and I paid less than $300 in total..with Irene one year apart I also did a trans-v scan and a hormone blood test for about $500..

Not sure abt what the autoimmune test covers though, but prices are obviously quite marked up!

Hi ladies, today is 14dpo. Very tempted to test but I will hold on till Tmr. Having cramp on and off. BBT at 36.78 today. Hoping AF will not report Tmr.

Hello, I'm reporting back with good news. Finally got my BFP after almost 2 years of TTC. I think the Men's Multivitamins worked!

Baby dust to everyone here!

Anyway, if anyone is interested, would like to let go:
- 3 boxes Blackmores Conceive Well Gold (Exp Mar/2017) at $20 each. Take all 3 for $50.
- 1 box Blackmores Conceive Well Gold (Exp Jun/2017) at $25
- 3 boxes Blackmore Conceive Well Gold (Exp Aug/2017) at $30 each. Take all 3 for $80.

Thanks Jaen for sharing! When I look at each item for trans-v scan and hormone blood test only, the prices actually look similar to yours. But it gave me an idea maybe I should look up what item I really need to test. In terms of autoimmune, I think I need it to check if it is causing any implantation problems.

Hi all! I'm new to this forum. Me and my hubby are ttc for 3 months. Thinking of going for fertility check. Anyone have tried Dr Tan and Partners at Bencoolen? Any comments/reviews?

3 months still good to continue to try. u can look for a specialist after 6 months.
Thanks jayjayqueenie! Abut worried because on some cycles, when AF come to visit, my discharge is dark brown, close to black colour on the first day. I read online that if it is old blood, the discharge should be dark colour on the last day and not the first day.

dark blood comes on first and last day.. first day = old blood from previous cycle and last day = blood which were pushed back from day 1's...

yes DOM and ginger drink can warm your body.
but DOM try not to drink after u BD as it contains alcohol.

also see if u can take the alcohol content. my col drank and she fainted. should just drink and go to sleep straight away.

dear all,

not sure if its okay to post this here...

i went to see one of the gynae few months ago for my irregular and painful menses. after trans v scan, was told theres a mild Adenomyosis, however it will not affect my chances of conceiving. at the end of the consultation, i was told that they can give me clomid if i wish to get bfp fast. the nurse told me i can just start the clomid on my next cycle. after that i went to KKH for another round of trans v scan and was told everything was normal.... no sign of obvious adenomyosis and was told that to be diagnosed of this, i will need to go thru some microscopic scan which the dr feel theres no such needs.

few months after, which is today... i am thinking of taking the clomid but i forgot the instructions for it. hence did a google search and it says that after clomid, theres a need to go back for a scan by gynae to check on the follicles etc.... which i was not told so by the gynae or nurses who gave me the clomid.

can i ask, is it alright if i just take the clomid as per what the nurses told me? or there's a need to be on close follow up by gynae once i started the clomid?

and also, should i just start clomid as we are ready to have baby now? after 2 cycles of clomid, if it fails, will it affect my chances of conceiving naturally? does it mean, once clomid fails, i will need to go for IVF?

appreciate all your advices. TIA

My colleague went to Dr Tan and Partners and saw Dr Rachel. Her comment was that the charges were exp and the drs there do not seem to be Gynaes, but medical doctors with a special interest in men's and women's health. She is currently finding a Gynae that she's comfortable with to follow up.
