2016 Mommies - Expecting Twins

Harlow, jus delivered my twins at week 37. Both more than 2kg, no nicu time. Normally nursery. However, the lighter one seems not to be feeding very well.e

Congrats!! I think not just me but all the twin mummies her2b are hoping our babies can hit above 2kg & no need nicu too. Did u eat things like durian avocado milk etc?

How heavy are your twins now and how many weeks? Ya for sure we aim above 2kd. My twins are at 1.28kg each at 27 weeks.

As of 30 weeks scan, my girl is 1.43kg & boy is 1.58kg. According to my gyne, the growth is right smack in the 50th percentile & is ok. But being the paranoid me, am still worried they're not gaining enuff as we should always be prepared for *touchwood* preterm. My next scan will be at 32 weeks so shall see how it goes. Meantime I'm wacking durian & just stock up on avocado & milk. Also hope that the placentas are still working fine

Hi, I'm Patricia. I'm expecting fraternal twins and at 12 wks now. Would love to join in and hopefully give one another encouragement during the difficult times.

Currently under Pte but gynae has advised that we register in kkh in event of preterm labour so that nciu will take in the babies. Sometimes, kkh turn away babies if their nciu is full, I heard.

How much durians do your take?
I took 2 seeds alternate days. So far 4 times already. Din see any significant weigh gain.
:(

Congrats babe! Yes u're right. It does appear that kkh gives priority to their 'in-house' patients first. It happened to my sil. So she went on and deliver at nuh instead which also has the full fledge nicu facilities & they're happy with their service.

Before GD test, 1 box every 2 weeks or so. After passing GD test, 1 box on almost weekly basis so avg out maybe 1 seed per day or something. Coz I normally consume the box within 2 days

Wow good weight for your twins. I have GD detected at my 27 weeks checkup. My diabetes specialist said no durians. Haha. But readings looking ok after emailing him the readings last few days. Need to eat healthy! Wow Jia you!!

Shd be end nov/dec.. edd will be confirmed on my next appt with gynae. Am having nausea and vomitting now. Any advise how to overcome or ease it? This is my 1st pregnancy...
My nausea ended around 17 weeks, got better around week 13. It can last through the day and peak in the evenings. I inhale peppermint oil. But really nothing much we can do except to wait it out.

Thanks milogal. Glad to hear that you sil found an alternative place. Nuh is a little far for me to consider though.

I am kind of worried. Just saw some dark brown spotting. Pls pls no no..... Keeping in prayers it's nothing bad pls...

Hi tryingforbaby, do you feel any cramping or any other discomfort? Have you been lifting anything heavy or walking too much?

If it's slight spotting, might not be a cause for worry. But just for peace of mind, call the emergency number of your gynae and put your legs up for now and tmr.

Hope everything will go fine for you.

Our Edd seems very close. Mine's 5 November.

Oh just to say that I tend to bleed if I retch too much also. It might be your constant vomitting causing the spotting.
