When is better to start to bring baby out for a walk

Hi ladies! When do u start to bring yr baby out for a walk? Hubby told me that many mums here start to do it when their baby reach minimum 3 months old. The reason is to avoid getting any disease . I'm actually from a cold country. So we usually bring baby since he 1-2 weeks. My baby-boy is already 7 weeks but I confused What is better for my baby. We go out only to church and to see doctor. Thanks!
