Good TCM to recommend to prepare for pregnancy

hi.

I'm trying for my no.2 and would like to find out if there is good TCM to recommend and who is famous n specialized in "tiao" the body to get ready to conceive. Due some past history, I may need to see one and I am turning 35.

Pls let me know the address and/or contact no, doctors name and cost. Prefer TCM in the west, central will consider. Thanks!

Ying Chuan Chinese Medical Hall
202 Jurong East Street 21
Singapore 600202

Very long queue. Best if you go at 6am to queue.
Don't be surprised. The queue number usually runs out by 10am or earlier.

They will first give you a diagnosis to see whether you need to "tiao" a not. Mainly chinese medical pills. They will also tell you the food to avoid and also the basics of good health, ie: sleep earlier, no cold drinks, drink more water. No point going if you are those who loves your cold drinks, sleep late etc. Tcm is a long haul process.

I started taking the powdered herbs from Dr Zhong Xi Ming a few weeks ago (Eu Yan Sang@ paragon). She's one of EYS fertility specialist. Supposed to take twice a day but we've only been taking it once due to busy schedules. It also made me feel very heaty. like always on the verge of a sore throat. But i have noticed some changes. Less sensitive to cold and better digestive system. My husband also noticed a higher sex drive.

Hi everyone, will like to find out how long does it take to tiao the body?
Think it depends on individual body. When I was on clomid I could nvr get the lh surge reading within the time frame.
However I visited Ying chuan to Tiao my body while waiting for my first ivf appt. only took the meds for 2 weeks while hubby took for 1 week as he had to travel. Was given the strips to test for ovulation to test from day 11 onwards. Manage to get a positive sign so tried to bd as per instructed by the tcm dr. N we got lucky. Dun need to ivf le. Our case is me generally ok with v mild pco while hubby's SA results r terrible.

I m trying for #2 too but it seem so hard..my #1 is a lucky charm due to unexpected..as my menses is never on time..after birth seem better but now ttc, menses got worse! This month I delayed 16days! Need to seek tcm treatment - last resort.

Well, on recommendation of current church friend, I went to this famous Marine Parade Ban Choon Chan after my blighted ovum in August last year. I noticed that some couples from far away such as India, Korea and some other overseas countries consult him too. It is just that his queue is too terrible. He is off on Mon and Tue. For Wed to Fri, you have to be outside his medical hall latest by 7:15 a.m. (not later than 7:30 a.m.) if you want to be the first few in the queue. For Sat, you have to be outside queuing at 6:30 a.m., and for Sundays, at 6:00 a.m. I went to "tiao" by him from September last year to April this year (skipped Bd in Chinese New Year as my husband went back home for the festive season), then due to my high maternal age (just turned 39 in early May), was suffering from complications such as subchrionic bleeding during early pregnancy (week 6 and 1 day), and requested Dr Chan to an tai for me, which he blatantly refused twice; and told me that no need. Eventually, around 2 weeks after the bleeding, I miscarried.

I particularly do not like that when I called Dr Chan as soon as his medical hall opens in the morning, that I need him to an tai for me as embryo still got heartbeat though not growing much, he was very rude to me over the phone, and told me that "embryo grows or not decided by my gynae. and not him". I think he expects that the day that I tested positive on HPT and went to consult him, that the 1 pack of an tai herbs prescribed by him will last till the end of the first trimester, till week 13; and if I do not make it, then it is my problem, and not his.

So be warned that even if he successfully helps you conceive, if you suffer from complications, he is very likely to just push away all responsibilities. :(

I have also heard from another friend that if still want to see Dr Chan, must see quickly, as there is news that he is retiring soon, due to his old age and failing health.

Subsequently, on recommendation of my previous personal trainer, I went to consult another tcm in North Bridge Road, and is now under his care, to strengthen my uterus, to prepare for my next pregnancy, as I have suffered from multiple miscarriages in the last 3.5 years. If you do want details of my current tcm, please PM (private message) me, as I do not check this forum on a daily basis.

You may try nam hua at aljunic. Forgotten the exact address but the tcm doc is a spcialise in gyane. I went there to acupuncture during my preg period to reduce nauseous.

Aljunic mrt come out turn left, 2nd building. Have to go as early as 7 am just tk queue for 10. No calling but must be there to write name.

Is subjective to tiao li. I have friend who went 6 mths manage to get it but i also have frieneds who try 2 yrs but still in progress.

Personally i recommend both. Go and see tcm to adjust ur body and also eat supplement. There are nany supplement out there in market so be extra careful as u wouldnt wanna have side effect.

For me i recommend royal jelly and r2. At least r2 is made of herbs and and royal jelly is from bee.

I see. Thank you both, but the 2 tcm you recommended me are both too far away. I live in Orchard, in Central area.

I am sure that during my test reviews with Professor Choolani next month, in end of September, he will prescribe me multi-vitamins to prepare my body for pregnancy.
