what do u give your Muslim maid for hari raya

may i know what you give ur muslim maid for hari raya? my maid has only been with us less than 2 months

I intend to give my maid an angbao. she's with us less than a yr. no need a big sum but I'm sure your maid will appreciate

My maid is arriving on tues and she'll be with us for less than 2 weeks. What else can I "give" her besides ang pow for Hari Raya? Eg. rest day?

How do they usually celebrate anyway?

Not so much of an ang bao, but maybe a day off or half day morning wld be good.
For hari raya, in the morning, we go for prayers in the mosque. Sometimes after the prayers, there'll be a lil makan session at the mosque. Depend which mosque.
If your maid is new, maybe you can show her to the nearest mosque in your area.

A lil extra is that, maybe you can cater a small hari raya meal for your maid and your family as well. At least she won't feel so sad being away from family during hari raya.

That's a good ideal. What's a Hari Raya meal? Just get from Muslim store? Will they be open then?

Ketupat, rendang, or even nasi briyani can also. I think there are some restaurant/catering company that can cater for 5-6pax hari raya meal. Just need to google ah.
Normally halal shops close on the the first day of hari raya tho.
