Hi mummies,
Just wondering, for those of you who have had more than one pregnancies before this, does this pregnancy feel different from your last?

I had previous pregnancy which ended at 6weeks in miscarriage. In that pregnancy, I was very hungry all the time and didn't have spotting at all.

But this time round, I don't feel hungry at all and I spot everyday. Although Gynae said that spotting is normal, but seeing patches on my panties everyday makes me really paranoid.

Does any of you mummies experience differences in your current pregnancy from the last?

For mine yes. #1 pregnancy was a breeze, appetite was good and no morning sickness. Whereas this time round I had cramps and spotting too for almost 4 days, one light pink bleeding (went to see Gynae yesterday and was reassured by a scan) and no appetite at all..
Keeping my fingers crossed that morning sickness doesn't creep in.

Hi Sorry to ask .... how do know u miscarriage the other time? This is my 1st pregnancy and i quite worried as i not young. This pregnancy really caught us a surprise

We tested positive at 4weeks.
Visited our gynae at about 5w 5days.
Did an ultrasound, all seemed fine.

At 6weeks (2days after our first ultrasound), I started bleeding. Rushed to my gynae, took a big injection. Bleeding didn't stop.

Rushed to A&E that night, took another big injection, bleeding still didn't stop.

Next day, went to KK A&E, ultrasound done but embryo seemed to have dislodged. At 4pm on the same day, bleeding became like menses flow. Gynae did one more ultrasound, embryo was no longer there.

I swear that was the saddest day of our lives. :(

My current gynae told us, because we had a previous miscarriage, we have to be very careful this time round. He said the earlier we know I'm pregnant, the more we can try to protect it. That's why I think, if you haven't already seen a gynae about your pregnancy, you should start making an appointment soon.

The sooner they know about it, the more they can try to protect it. Having said that in early pregnancies if it's time for the baby to go, there's very little the gynae can do also.

i lost my baby in 5th week 3 day last Dec, at first i having spotting, thot is mense coming as i say before my mense very on time de. Then 4w2d, i test, faint line, spotting continue, go kkh A n E see doc, prescribe duphaston and utrogeston, but no use, blood test on 4w5d is 121, repeated bt on 5w is 29. Doc say miscarriage liao, but still spotting no bleed. So doc stop my utrogeston and only ask me to continue with duphaston, he say mense will come soon. True enough 3 days later my AF come full blast. Baby gone. So this time round i very scare spotting, lucky only 1 day and very little. It stop on same day and till now never appear again. Today also my 2nd 5w3d. Cramp and chest tight still remained but appetite turn better.

I hope this time round all of us will happily carry our baby in arm in 8 to 9 months time. Jia you!

Really sorry to hear that.. I also hope that all ladies here can pass these 8-9months and we will be showing each other's our baby photo!

Eventhough i not u, i feel sad to hear all this mischap ..... stay healthy everyone.... good luck to all of us... i seeing my gynae on 19 May.
 
Hihi.. I just tested positive yesterday. But have 2 exp of miscarriages. Really hope this time can see baby in real. Anyone seeing gynae in KKH? Any recommendation? Btw, my fam doc refer me to Dr Irene Chua, is she good?

Hi Icy,
congrats. never see Dr Irene Chua before but hear and see alots of good review and comments abt her. Seem like she is one of the good gynae, of cos oso many ppl say her cost is quite steep.

Coolgirl,
same here, i prefer male gynae, maybe bcos they dunno how pain we r, tats y most of the male gynae is more gentle than female. lols.

Actually been seeing this gynae since last year july.... i had Dermoid cyst 2x ... it came back after my 1st operation done 4 years ago. My 1st ops done by KKH gynae, the waiting time is a nono and not a good exp. So i went to do research and found this gynae Roland Chieng. He also do ivf & infertility treatment. He encouraged us to try for a baby maybe it help to stop my cyst. Both dermoid cyst is abt 5cm big quite scary actually....

I seen both female and male gynae... my personal experience, male gynae more patient and will explain till u understand lol. My gynae will also help me save cost 1

If I am pregnant, I would be a Jan mummy! However, I just wanna seek some opinion before seeking specialist's opinion.

19-22 Apr - Faint lines on watsons/guardians pregnancy tests
23 Apr - I tested positive on a Clearblue Digital with 1-2 weeks pregnant. The next few days, I had light spotting (pinkish) with no cramps or ache.
29 Apr - I had an ultrasound scan (suspected PCOS prior to the positive test) which detected nothing. (No PCOS too) It might be too early anyway.
6th May - Went to policlinic for follow-up and tested negative using urine sample.
7th May - Got a "Not Pregnant" on Clearblue Digital using FMU

I am leaning towards the fact that I possibly had a chemical pregnancy or early miscarriage, but it's puzzling as my nipples/breasts are getting more and more sensitive each day and my nausea are the same too.

Help? :(

I hope soo... Im actually from sept 2015 thread... Had my miscarriage, quite saddened by it, as it my 1st aft i got married 3weeks.. Btw ladies im not sure bout this ovulation period n im seriously confused, google n the dates are diff each time.. Im afraid im lose the ovulation period... Help me anyone...

Yes she is good and I chose as her as my Gynae for #1 as well as this pregnancy, she's very assuring and patient in replying to every question of mine. Waiting time was reasonable for my last visit, around 20 mins.

Price wise, yes quite steep as compared to other Gynae. Something to consider is her stitching skills - very good. :D

Ladies all.. Based on experience!! I was preg last jan.. N from late january up to 4th feb i had this spotting, as it was my 1st time i googled n ask advice from my fren n they say itz normal even mum says so! So i decided to monitor it... Somedays if even came out like a splash, i was worried n called a&e kkh, she say normal just wait for appt., so i waited 3days later n i got a super Unexperience young gynae! I think ard my age 20 over.. Watever ur concern she will say i will check with my boss n told her of my spotting she say not normal n did vagina examination. Next day evening aft took the hormone pill 3time a day i got a miscarriage..

So dont take a light bleeding so easy, during pregancy must kancheong le, its bout our precious baby.. Any think abnormal just see the doc dont ask fren or wat! Ok... Best of luck u all...

Maybe get a HCG blood test at polyclinic? It will give you a more accurate result.

Have you tried downloading the ovulation calendar app? The one I used is called "Monthly Cycles".

Basically you just need to input the first day of your menses into the calendar every month, then the app will calculate the ovulation window for you. It's very easy.

I am using a apps called period tracker, its icon look like a diary with a flower on it. Very cute, can use it to track ur temperature, weight, mense and ovulation, when u preg, u can change the mode into preg calendar. It can help u on predict ur Ovulation. Btw, when it show i am near to my best day to bd, i also use clear blue kit to test and confirm it. Jia you.

Go do blood test ... years back my sil failed many pregnancy kits but she was pregnant. Good luck
 
Hi everyone, if I'm indeed pregnant (after two regular clear blue tests showed positive) then my EDD is Jan 8 2016! Congratulations to all of you here. I visited gynae today but couldn't see the sac in the ultrasound. Could be too early to detect, hoping it's not anything worse like ectopic pregnancy. Have another scan in a week. No major symptoms yet except tiredness. In the meantime I think I will take another test over the weekend - the digital one this time. Good to have a forum like this to chat with other moms in the same stage as I am. I used the app Ovia Fertility and now Ovia Pregnancy - quite user friendly and provides tips / reminders.

Very slight nausea. But I'm actually secretly hoping to experience full blown morning sickness soon.

I want to feel pregnant!! :D
 
i need to collect antibiotic for UTI.... my gynae did a urine test for me on tuesday evening cos i complained cramp and backache. Lucky only slight UTI... got a shock when I had a missed call fr them .... thut no news is good news

You might want to try out this app called "Baby Med". It tells you day by day how your baby is growing inside you. I really like this app. :)
