Prof PC Wong - IVF with Norethisterone

I actually quite amazed by his busy schedule organised so nicely in order to be punctual and on time. I have experience twice that CHR nurse called to reschedule my scan appointment from 8am to 9am, cause too many patients waiting at 8am slot. I really appreciated that they call in adv and i dont have to woke up early.
When i told my friends who are with KKH that prof will see me everytime and do the scan for me, they were surprised cause KKH will scan by diff doctor everytime.

I cannt imagine myself having transvaginal scans done by a different doc everytime...is really so awkward n how can I feel confident that I am in good hands..

Though our hubbies only have to watch porn videos for the IVF journey lol, it's as emotionally hard on them. We ladies can release our emotions by tears, whereas the men often have to hold their emotions inside.

Kudos to the hubbies for pacifying hormones-charged wives at home. Not an easy feat! They certainly feel heartpain inside for their wives when they see them go through the jabs etc.

U r soooo funny...I can't stop laughing on the watch porn videos part...I nvr ask my hubby on this...I'm going to ask n disturb him on that...lol

Hormones charged wives can b quite "scary" at times...poor hubbies...hahaha...

Both of you are funny..big smile on my face.
Hubby did mentioned the porn videos part but just touch and go
He told me that he was under high pleassure and tense. Think it is not easy to our hubby in ivf journey too.

Glad that our relationship is getting much better and he even step into kitchen to follow my instruction to cook meal for us. Feeling blessed ;)

Yesterday, when i passed urine and i saw a drop of blood clot in red color in the toilet bowl. I was stunned for a while and start tearing.

I came out to tell hubby, he hug me and said its ok, we have done our best. Honestly, we are preparing for the worst and i could not sleep well last night.

Luckily i didnt see anything on the panty liner this morning. I hope it just a implantation bleeding although i read from internet it should be pink or brown in color.

Have to stay hopeful and be positive

Hugz!! Don't read too much into it first, call CHR and ask later. They told me it's ok as long as it's not full menses.

Definitely hard on them. My hubby was pulling such a long face everyday during my IVF cycle, so I had to crack my head to tell him some jokes. That porn video was one of the jokes to give him a smile.

Your hubby is so sweeeeet to cook meals for you! ;)

My one volunteered to do the jabs for me but I didn't dare to let him do it when I saw his hands shaking with the pen

Thanks for the links.
Wow...the pregnancy chance may be doubled!!! Thats wonderful technology :)

Do you know why Prof did encourage endo scratch?

I never get the chance to see Prof to ask him about endo scratch, so I post this question on this thread to see if anyone of you know if he supports it? I am a subsidized patient, so I don't see Prof after one time.

Which day post ET are you now? When the embryo digs deep into our lining to implant, there'll be some blood loss because our lining is thick thick layer of blood cells. What lucasmum said is correct, there is still hope as long as one doesn't get full heavy flow of menses. I read that some ladies even got light flow of menses in the first month when they were pregnant, examples are my colleague and my mom. My colleague went to see doctor for stomach pain in the second month and got a shock when doc told her that she was pregnant.

Haha....your hubby so cute. You are really good to make him smile and such a positive person :)

I dare not let hubby jab for me, i can tell he cant make it or maybe more drama if he is going to jab for me..haha

Your hubby got magic hand too :)
I think it was very blissful if hubby can cope with the jabbing.

Sometime i feel a bit lonely in ivf journey when hubby was busy at work and i am handling almost everything by myself. Glad that he can be with me when i went for ER, ET and Seminar.

<Hugs> Come this thread to chit chat with us whenever you are bored or lonely.

This journey has continous things for us to worry about.

Your hubby is striving hard in his career to earn $$ for milk powder, diapers etc. . He knows he will get 1 or 2 babies to yang soon.

I sms my hubby to talk to him during my visits without him even if he doesn't reply to my smses at office. I told myself that bringing up a kid is not cheap in Singapore.

Try to rest more. I spent my time watching dramas, that kept me occupied.

My hb was also very busy during that period and I even went ET alone. Went back alone also

But jabbing part was done by him. I totally switched off...

Any nice shows to recommend? After a few of you mentioned the return of superman show here, I went to search for it on YouTube and oh... I am now addicted to it!

Haha my hb most poor thing! I haven't start jabs already sick.. end up still no bed action for him... and add on must look after my #1 as Im sick

Yay...i totally agreed with you. I always update my hubby via sms and we will talk when he reach home at night. He told me that he will be busy on blood test day, i said its ok i will go by myself.
I think all of us are strong warriors and ivf really make me become stronger. Mentally and emotionally.

I chat a lot here but sometime i wonder if i am too active :D

@happybb2015 & @Day_Dreaming ,
Let me know if u need more shows..I watched tonnes of kdrama, tvb dramas n cdrama after I resigned n stay home to condition my body...

For the endo scratch...I had it done b4 FET...coz of my mid cycle spotting, was asked to go for hysteroscopy...to check for n remove polyp...n Dr Anu told me she wld scrap off some endo lining as well...

Somehow I go for Prof Wong's preference...we r doing too much intervention to our body..n invasive ones also...wat's the implications or aftermath or reactions of individual body system...we really duno...so holistic approach is often better...go with the body system flow instead of countering it...unless there's really an issue to b fixed...:D

Is very nice of ur hubby to jab for u...:)

I once made a comment to my hubby coz i was pretty unstable then...coz fet got cancelled consecutively after all the jabs...i told him.."all u noe is to bring me to nuh n send me back. Wat else? Can u feel my pain?"...i saw a very hurt face on him...then i realized i'm wrong...so wrong...they r trying their very best to contribute in their ways...jus that when we r unstable...we wan more?or we overlook their contributions...

@remembeRainbow since @chloe_ng mentioned! is it no bed action for full first trimester!! Prof told us no intercourse at 4 weeks, then we didn't ask during first scan... lol
I was spotting that time so confirm no no.
Sad to say we were a bit phobic of sex cos we were so felt up trying natural before ivf. Think will take some time for things to normalize.
Meanwhile we just enjoy hugging together, fantasizing how we will bring up bb & stroking bb on my tummy. This kind of intimacy is just as sweet la, for now :p

For my fresh, I did all the jabs cos I felt that hubby was not very confident. Somemore I control freak.
First few times he prepared the jab for me. But got once he pricked his finger while removing needle cover, so I decided I'd do it myself.
He then said he wanted to be ard at least to watch (& support), but I found it dumb to wake him up early morning just to watch me jab. I also didn't want him to see me stress & shaky with the jabs la. I was trying to act brave.
I told him just drive me to & fro NUH, & run errands for me I happy liao.
Anyway I used my finger to poke my tummy first before deciding where to jab. Very effective & painless if don't jab the wrong spot..

hmm abt the endo scratch, actually prof wong didn't say or offer to me first. It was when I requested for a hysteroscopy then he referred me to his colleague Dr Fong(who was really nice too!) as he himself dun do this he said. Dr fong who specialized in lap and such procedures actually did a scratch for me a few weeks before I started my cycle without my knowledge or request..but im not complaining though as I did bfp..cos apparently later I read abt there are cases like unexplained implantation or implantation not too good, this scratch is said to regenerate the cells in the lining and thus better help with embryo to implant and also further consultation with prof wong, he also mentioned ''yup..some studies hv shown that it increases the chances..''

if jabbing urselves..do open ur eyes and actually look at where u r jabbing..dun be like me..i chickened out as 1st time jabbing closed my eyes dared not look then I accidentally jabbed my finger lol

My ET was last tuesday. Betwen 4-10 days. I will continue monitor, thanks ya :)

Oh...if sad ending i better dont watch first. Having fun watching daehan minguk manse...hahaha

@remembeRainbow rainbow also means something to me..when I lost my earlier tries, I prayed and asked god for directions. That time I was still contemplating whether to change doc/clinic or do another fet using my last 2 embbies from my 3rd fresh. Then while washing my windows a few weeks later, I prayed again..then in my surprise, 2 rainbows appeared over the fields I was facing..i took it that it was god's promise and acknowledgement of my cries and prayers..

Wah double rainbows are super rare! I never see them in my life.

I'm so happy that your prayers have been answered by heaven. :)

I love the triplets' conversations with one another. I still remembered the dinner scene where they went to eat squids in steamboat. Two of them were talking to the live squids "Wait a while, we will save you and release you back to the oceans". 5 mins later, they were happily munching the squids and asking their daddy for more! :D
