Just wanna to share my experience for this salon, also a lot of news for the related outlet at different heartland.

Vendor : Ecoin.sg or New Station
Outlet : AMK centre

If can avoid just dun fall into their trap.

All the while my family was using my mother in law first time paying of $15 dollars annual membership at the AMK salon, my son and hb go to hair cut almost every month. Until recent their pattern come out when membership is finished.

Their tactic come as below :

Ask us take a $50, unlimited package, mention the money can use for hair cut, treatment or hairdo. Thus, my hb pay for the $50 membership and I directly want to use this package for my hair treatment, choose the $99 Shiseido treatment plan. Of course, they keep on persuade me try on the $188 France treatment. I rejected it, directly tell them it is expensive.

When everything is done payment come and the tactic come again, they ask me keep the $50 for the hair cut will do, I shall pay for the $99. But the problem is, when they ask us take this unlimited package, they never mention how is the limitation, they say the package can use for any hairdo. Later, they change and say it still can pay for my treatment, but you need to have the value leave down in the card, thus next time then able to enjoy the $3/$4 haircut. Still tell me the least I can leave down is $10, when I request just leave down $10, they change again say how about keep as $24, can come back use more times of hair cut.

My point of views is whatever they suggest me, I won't care, that is my money. How I want to use is my decision, the female outlet manager still show attitude and impatient with me when I question as how come they keep on confusing me on the package usage.

Think the Ecoin.sg won't be last longer after more and more bad news come out. I wanna share my experience here and remind my dear netizen, don't scare by their tactic and method of sales, money is mine, as long as I never pay, we need to have our standing point.

The best is don't come to this kind of shop as we really may get a bad payment experience with them. I do give them a $99 hair treatment business already, but just did not agree buy for other treatment package and want to use my own money, thus they show me their black face and attitude. As customer, why should we need to face this kind of "bad" service.

I heard from my hb, there is a lady also bought a big sum of package from them, later come back want to regret they also don't want. Really need to be careful!!

Yes please avoid this salon. Kenna conned to buy a package. You go for one session, hardsell throughout. From the start to payment also hardsell. Every session also hardsell. Very tiring.
Utterly unethical. and if you don't accede to their hardsell, they give black face and do a lousy job.

Agree with the posts. Do avoid this salon at AMK. Got pressured into taking a package a year and half ago. It is a big regret!!!
The hairstylists are OK, but cannot stand the the managers and some staff there. Never leave me in peace when I go for a hair cut or perm or colour. Keep pestering me to spend more money by offering all kinds of so called promotions. When I refuse, they showed 'black' face. When I finally finish my package last Friday, I say GOOD-BYE TO THE SALON!! Even at my last visit, the pestering went on. They are very unprofessional, out to get you to top up more money each visit!!

Very negative feedback for New Station Beauty & Hair Salon (83 Marine Parade Central)
They claimed to be hair professional and insisted an expensive hair re-bonding recommendation. This re-bonding badly damaged my hair and lasted only a few days. My scalp became red, swollen and cracked after re-bonding. My hair became very dry and brittle and had to cut it.

Throughout the hair re-bonding process, I was constantly pestered by the China manager, hair dresser and beautician to buy more hair services and facial treatments. They insisted I stay behind and continue more hair services though I informed them I had not eaten my meal and urgently had matters to attend.

The China manager at the cashier, insisted I pay for more unwanted hair treatments regardless of a very long queue waiting for him to finish talking. After I rejected all his offers, he showed an ugly attitude.

Beware of Snip Avenue Hair Salon

Complaint against Snip Avenue Hair Salon (Blk 273C Punggol Place #01-878 Singapore 823273)
I am looking for a regular hair salon. I decided to try hair re-bonding in Snip Avenue. The following is my experience.

A manager lady Vicky pestered me to sign hair service packages when I stepped in. During hair re-bonding, I was pestered by Vicky to sign hair services again. I rejected her and she became rude and negative.

She added extra hair treatment and services without my permission! I had to pay extra $130 dollars for services I didn't need or ask for.

The salon was very dirty with exceptionally a lot of hair. Instead sweeping the floor, Vicky was gossiping about sexual
perversions and made discriminating remarks about man publicly. It was disturbing for me and other customers.

I was insisted to fill in many personal details on a form without the PDPA disclaimer. Many personal details was unnecessary for hair salon to collect. Vickly was unhappy I didn't want to provide.

By cheating me an extra of $130 dollars for additional hair treatment/services without my consent caused me to lost trust in Vickly or Snip Avenuein. No future business from me, my family and friends for them anymore.

Snip Avenue gave a very bad impression/image. I will never go back to Snip Avenue Punggol or any branches again.

i've never been to the one at punggol, but i have been to the one at bukit batok. WORSE SERVICE EVER !!!! It was my first time going there as my friend recommended it to me, saying it was very cheap. So i thought y not and give it a try. Come in, the lady at the counter was talking on the phone and dun even acknowledge my presence. Then another lady from far wave her hand at me, ask me to sit there without saying a word. No mouth to talk??

Cut hair, not a single word was said other than what kind of cut i wanted. And she dint even tell me the cut was over. just removed the cover and walked away.

I paid quickly and walked out but i will nvr ever step foot into another one of their outlets again. Extremely horrible service

Anyway ladies, i think we should start a thread for salons that are good and you can recommend. Hopefully this will help everyone here avoid bad experiences and have more pleasant hair appointments :D

A salon manager stopped me to exit the salon end last year because she tried very hard to up sell me a package. I already paid over $300 for hair cut, re-bonding and treatment. She insisted me to top up the balance to make it $800 claiming I am going to save more this way down the road. How am I going to save more when that visit will be my last? :D

I am a hair lover and allocate a certain amount of time and money on hair cuts, re-bonding, coloring, scalp treatments, hair care products, etc... with many different salons. I have finally came to a conclusion that whenever we step into a salon, we need to be very clear what we wanna achieve. I need to stop some services as of now as well as throw away some products because they have caused me more than enough problems.

Hair cuts, re-bonding, coloring, perming services ---> Let the hairstylist sort it out for you.

Scalp treatments and hair care products ---> Let the scalp specialist assists you in this.

Don't mix up between a scalp therapist and a hairstylist. You will really save thousands and thousands of dollars on a long term basis. Without a healthy and strong scalp, forget about what's the latest hair trend and colors. Many people think that by opting for expensive scalp packages = healthier hair and that is not true regardless of what ingredients were stated on the packaging. Everyone's scalp is uniquely different and no one ingredient can be applied on all. Lowly or affordable priced scalp treatments and products can produce equally or even better results. What can one achieves from high-end scalp treatments? Higher hopes and hopefully, better results.

Take Bee Choo for an example... I was a regular customer of theirs but I find the results not that impressive, so I converted to another scalp specialist. My friend is a customer of Bee Choo and the results on his head is simply amazing! My mum dye her hair black every few months and I told her to stop the nonsense. I brought her to Bee Choo and her hair is forever reddish and like an orangutan without applying any chemical product. :)

Worst hair salon I ever encountered at ecoin AMK - now changed name to New Station.
Was pestered crazily to sign their package on first visit. I bought for 6 treatments (very expensive). During the 4th treatment, they again hardsell me and I did not want because the hair became very dry. They mentioned that the package was meant for scalp treatment and not hair treatment. If I want hair treatment, I should sign another one. I refused and they insisted that I buy for 2 treatments to try and will add the hair treatment to my existing 5th and 6th treatments.

When I went on my 5th treatment, the counter lady said I had to pay balance of the 4 hair treatments which I flatly told them no way. Am prepared to just finish up the next 4 treatments. She rudely slam the pen which she wrote on the card and told me that without a complete treatment, I wont see any improvements. Blackmailing me.

The hairstylists are ok but every visit I see customers heavily presssured to sign by the counter lady if the hairstylists are unsuccessful in persuading customers to sign a package.

Never ever step into this shop.
