Agaga, ya i have the same thoughts too.. better use the same kind.. what is this lemongrass body wash? What brand??

I bought from the motherhood exhibition some time ago. There's a seller in SMH too. Had a store at AMK if not wrong. Bought the lemongrass shower $16.80 and ginger cream $11.80. Tried the cream, like it, not oily after apply.

also, what brand of diapers good for NB? i can't remb what i use for no. 1. i only can remb some brands will leak from side.. cutting too big.

I'll be using Drypers (less than $0.20 per pc)

My 21mo still using Drypers since birth till now and I personally feel that it's good and cheap to be used day or night. Only recently start using MamyPoko in the evening as I realised Drypers can't hold her urine now for 10-12hours run.

My #1, I tried PetPet and got abrasion after that. But this was 11yrs ago. Maybe got improvised by now already.

@angel_loi, this container looks more like for storing bread. You can try those shop selling homeware.

For me, I use Munchkin drying rack to drip dry the milk bottles after wash and leave them there in open-air since it don't come with cover like Lucky Baby one. But I feel that don't cover is better since still wet. Will create fungus.

Ya, I would like to get Munchkin drying rack too but scared dusty without cover up. So, thinking of wipe dry first then put it in.

Pet pet I suggest only use on day time. My #1 only can use mamypoko pampers since she was 5 months old. Other brand doesn't works for her. Even wet wipes also mamypoko. Once she use other brand of pampers or wet wipes, she will got rashes & sensitive & end up got to see PD. Now hopefully my #2 is not as sensitive as my #1. Anyway, I have bought 5 packs of pampers (pet pet & mamypoko) for my NB. Awaiting for her arrival.. :)

My opinion. Comparing dust to fungus. I think dust still not harmful. If teats not dry totally and cover up really not good.

@agaga

Ok, maybe put it dry on drying rack first before putting in. I think like this way shd be fine.

Do u take any tonics during this last semester? What shd we consumed?

My only worry is for small baby, pampers & mamypoko might be too big.

Angel, your bb really sensitive leh. i stocked up on kodomo wet wipes from watson during their sale. Its not as thick as pigeon but cheap enough to use a few pieces. No. 1 using that now also.

is this last tri? tot still got 4th tri?
i'm only taking bird nest / xue-ge. sometimes mom will boil those liver soup to bu. nothing else. Prob towards the end, eat lots of durian to make the bb big. :)

@leoclub

I refer to online pregnancy guide.. Mentioned week 28 onwards is third trimester oh.. Not so sure but I think now we only left 2 months. Also consider last trimester..

Small baby maybe can use huggies brand. My #1 tried huggies on first few months but I find it quite small for her. So initially I just use more on mamypoko.

I'm thinking to get DOM & chicken essence but scared the taste.. Haha!

Thought pig liver isn't suitable to consume during preg as no gd for unborn baby. Bird nest and xue-ge are okay but expensive stuff.. haha

Chinese sin seh said black chicken soup can drink.

Haha.. i dare not eat durian cos me myself is already very big! Almost want to faint everytime step up the weighing scale. The number is always increasing. Omg!

Ya, I heard that actually during pregnant try not to eat much of pig organs. Not so sure abt it. I mainly more on chicken soup boiled by my MIL. Nothing else.. My #1 I got consumed bird best & not sure is it bcz of that my baby is very fair.

is it? my gynae ask me to eat more liver as my red blood count v low leh. hmm..
Will check out huggies.

@agaga, xue-ge ok lah.. not ex.. actually serve the same purpose as bird nest i'm told.

Gynae did advised me eat red meat but not liver. So i took beef and pork. Or should i say, too much liver is no good. In moderate is okay.

@leoclub

I don't eat durian my LO already quite big size.. Tmr is my routine check up with my gynae. So happy can see my LO..

@agaga

I don't eat lamb or beef. I'm basically eat more to fish, moderate of chicken & pork. Then I think will get chicken essence & some bird nest ba.. How often? Every alternate day?

I feel that c.essence is more for 提神 than 补身。Black chicken soup will be better as tang shen and wolfberries added. Bird nest is for complexion and lung if not wrong. I usually consume b.nest before bed, once a week from 2nd trimester. My bb also very fair even now 11yo still got pink vein on her fair skin.

I only heard huggies not good.. now sure of the new improvised version good a nt... i took quite a fair bit of samples of differebt diapers during baby fairs.. haha..

I feel pet pet is the most economical. But first month I start with pampers first. Make sure bb skin not sensitive then switch to pet pet.

any mummies can advise what diapers is good?

I saw reviews for Merries & Huggies, seems quite good

Had tries Merries sample, okay only. Mamypoko better. Somemore Merries very ex. Imagine just change only then poop poop.. whao.. heart pain.. haha

I think most mummies will still get mamypoko. All my friends also using mamypoko, some mix with other brand & while some support all the way.. Nv change brand.

Just did my routine check up with my gynae. My LO weight at 2.132kg @ 30 weeks day 6. :) My gynae said my baby absorb a lot as my weight remained. Head is turning down already.. Gynae asked me if I have get ready all my stuff. I told him.. Yeah~ 90% for my hospitalization bag & baby necessities.

angel, meaning dr want u to prepare for birth? But it's way too early! Will the baby head be turning back to breech position?

Wow!!! angel..thats exciting and good to hear. i hope my bb absorb my weight too. my appt is next week.
u mean u alr pack your hospi bag? so early?

Ya, ask me prepare all baby necessities & don't do it last mins. My gynae always prefer mummies to prepare early so that at the last few weeks we can relax & don't walk too much if baby is too low.

I did ask my gynae regarding of baby turning back. He said once baby head down it's a good & natural way. It will be quite hard for them to turn around again but also depends if mum do a lot of exercise esp yoga.

Every 2 weeks baby shd gain ard 300g but I'm double ard 600g plus.. So my gynae said he will advised that I can natural birth on 38 weeks. A

I see.. maybe i should start packing too since I'm about wk32. Shall see my gynae tmr and find out more about position and weight.

Hi mummies,

Did u all use nipple cream? Do we really need it?

My first one I was super sore and cracked and engorged. Nipple cream really helped with healing. Usually cracked nipple is due to baby latching wrongly. So if you feel pain when you nurse your bb immediately request to see a lactation consultant even before you are discharged. Save you alot of pain.

Nursing pillow was helpful for me as a new mother too. I developed carpel tunnel and my wrist was really painful from carrying bb to nurse in all the wrong positions. With the nursing pillow I just have to "put" bb on the pillow, no need to hold. But once I get the hang I found the nursing pillow cumbersome.

I suggest don't buy nursing pillow first. Work with you LC and let her advise. It was my LC who suggested the nursing pillow.

During my #1 I tried to let my baby latch on first day but 2nd day my nipple starts to bleed.. So pain & decided to use pump instead. Maybe also bcz I'm invert nipples. Now my #2 I would like to let my baby latch more than pumping. Heard that latching will produce more milk. Since I plan to let my baby latch more, I'm thinking if shd I buy nipple cream. By the way, how u apply? Apply everyday at night? Before yr baby latch, will u wipe clean the nipples?

What is LC?

There's a few retail stores from this seller. You can call and chk. Contact no. can be found at website. I bought from their motherhood exhibition at expo.

I think what Popie meant is LC = Lactation Consultant (breastfeeding consultation)
